Job Responsibilities:
<div>Phlebotomists are responsible for collecting blood specimens and interacting with patients from all age groups, with a broad range of degrees of difficulty. Working jointly with all departments in the hospital and laboratory, phlebotomists are responsible for providing efficient and timely collections for patients in order to provide excellent care. 
 
Specific Job Duties: 
<ul><li>Primarily responsible for the collection of blood specimens for the clinical laboratory.</li><li>Computer test order entry in our outpatient settings, specimen collection data entry and assisting caregivers with patient reports.</li><li>Preparing a laboratory for inspection by regulatory agencies.</li><li>Monitoring, maintaining, ordering and stocking laboratory supplies.</li><li>Providing customer service to answer questions from patient providers regarding patient results or sample collection techniques or questions.</li></ul>
 
Laboratory Training/Continuing Education: 
All employees are required to attend hospital orientation on the initial start date and then will proceed to the laboratory to undergo an extensive training program which covers all areas of the phlebotomy position. We provide a one-on-one approach to this process, which typically is completed within the first 1 to 2 months of hire. 
 
Annual continuing education is provided by Willis-Knighton in an effort to maintain competency in phlebotomy skills, safety and general laboratory areas. This also provides employees CEUs to maintain certification requirements. 
 
Job Qualifications: 
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>Completion of a phlebotomy-training program or equivalent experience.</li><li>Phlebotomy certification/license is required.</li><li>Computer experience and some knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.</li></ul>
 
Hours: 11PM-9:30PM Friday/Saturday every third weekend, but additional hours will vary; rotating weekends and holidays, as participating in the phlebotomy on-call schedule.</div></div>

Phlebotomist

<div>The Department of Graduate Medical Education Research at Willis Knighton Health is seeking a qualified research coordinator to assist with the planning, execution, and management of scholarly activities being performed by residents, fellows, medical students, and other potential student categories at Willis Knighton Health.
The GME Research Coordinator will report to the Director of GME Research and perform tasks both independently and in collaboration with them. The candidate will also assist in helping with the conduct of several new and ongoing GME research projects, information technology applications, as well as generating educational materials and notes from formal meetings with GME committees and formal meetings.
A background in research and information technology is preferred; however, applicants who have gained the necessary skills for this role through alternative career histories will also be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE
<ul><li>Prefer a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a science-related field or master&rsquo;s degree with a focus in data analytics</li>
<li>Prefer experience in research and/ or clinical trials</li>
<li>Prefer experience in coordination</li>
<li>Prefer experience with human research protections</li>
<li>CITI Certification in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) or completed within first month of employment</li>
<li>CRA (CITI) Certification or completed within first month of employment</li></ul></div>

GME Research Coordinator

<div>Willis Knighton Radiology is seeking a PRN/Relief Radiology Transporter. This position will float between the various Willis Knighton facilities. The shift may vary between 8 and 12 hours, with some weekends.
The job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, transporting patients to and from Radiology, the Emergency Department, patient floors and more. This individual will also be responsible for delivering courteous care to patients, working cooperatively with other departments and staff, as well as following the national patient safety goals.
