We create refined residential and commercial spaces that reflect Clarity, Balance &amp; Beauty&reg;, and we manage projects from concept through construction and installation.You will work closely with:<ul><li>Angela &ndash; Principal Designer &amp; Creative Director (design, clients, studio and brand).</li><li>Norie &ndash; Director of Construction &amp; Procurement (construction methods, subcontractors, and procurement, including government contract work).</li></ul>Together, they lead a small, growing firm that needs a strong operations backbone.About the RoleWe are seeking a detail‑oriented, proactive Operations &amp; Studio Assistant to support both our interior design studio and our construction/procurement work. This full‑time, on‑site role is ideal for someone who loves organization, enjoys being the right hand to creative leaders, and is comfortable moving between design‑related logistics and structured procurement/operations work.You will help keep projects, purchasing, schedules, and day‑to‑day operations running smoothly across both the design and construction sides of the business.Key ResponsibilitiesStudio Operations &amp; Project Support (Design.Build. Furnish Studio)<ul><li>Manage day‑to‑day studio operations, including scheduling, email coordination, and general administrative support for Angela.</li><li>Assist with project logistics: maintain project trackers, timelines, and notes; prepare client‑facing documents and simple presentations.</li><li>Coordinate with vendors and trades (furniture, finishes, installers, etc.), ensuring orders, deliveries, and installations are properly scheduled and documented.</li><li>Maintain organized digital and physical files for projects, contracts, and client information.</li><li>Support studio organization, inventory, and occasional on‑site assistance for installs and photoshoots.</li></ul>Procurement &amp; Administrative Support (Construction &amp; Government Contracts)<ul><li>Support Norie with procurement‑related tasks for construction and government contracts: gathering quotes, preparing basic documentation, and tracking orders and approvals.</li><li>Help maintain accurate records and spreadsheets for purchasing, vendor information, project status, and key dates.</li><li>Coordinate communication between internal stakeholders and external vendors/subcontractors to ensure requirements and timelines are met.</li><li>Support compliance‑related organization (filing, documentation tracking, and basic data entry as directed).</li></ul>Cross‑Functional Operations Support<ul><li>Serve as a central point of coordination between Angela and Norie, helping prioritize tasks and keep both workflows aligned.</li><li>Anticipate needs and flag potential issues with timelines, orders, or documentation before they become problems.</li><li>Assist with miscellaneous operational tasks as the business grows (light research, process documentation, improving systems, and simple reporting).</li></ul>Ideal Candidate<ul><li>Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple moving pieces at once.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication; professional, clear, and warm style with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.</li><li>High attention to detail, especially with dates, numbers, and documentation.</li><li>Tech‑comfortable: able to work in cloud‑based tools (Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, project/task tools, file‑sharing, and spreadsheets).</li><li>Comfortable supporting two leaders and shifting between creative studio needs and structured administrative/procurement work.</li><li>Previous experience in interior design, architecture, creative studios, construction, operations, or procurement is a plus, but not required if you are a quick learner and systems‑minded.</li></ul>Position Details<ul><li>Employment type: Full‑time, on‑site</li><li>Location: Glen Allen / Richmond, VA area</li><li>Schedule: Standard weekday hours, with occasional flexibility around installations or key deadlines</li><li>Compensation: Commensurate with experience, with opportunity to grow as the studio and construction/procurement work expand</li></ul>Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Associate (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>C suite admin: 5 years (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
