Wilson Smith Cochran Dickerson, a Seattle civil defense litigation law firm, seeks a bright, highly motivated Associate or Of Counsel Attorney licensed in Washington with exceptional written and oral advocacy skills. Basic Requirements <ul><li>Superior analytical, written, and oral communication skills</li><li>3+ years of substantive litigation experience</li><li>J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited law school</li><li>Excellent academic credentials</li><li>Admitted to the WSBA and/or OSB</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in civil defense litigation and counseling parties in a variety of pre-dispute and dispute resolution contexts, including depositions, discovery, arbitrations, and trial.</li><li>Significant hands-on experience with insurance litigation.</li><li>Ability to independently manage multiple projects, cases and deadlines in a dynamic, engaging environment.</li><li>A motivated self-starter seeking increasing opportunities for professional growth and responsibility.</li><li>Ability to work as a collaborative team player who can effectively work with paralegals and assistants to ensure efficient case handling.</li><li>Judicial clerkship experience or prior court experience (ideal but not required).</li><li>Unwavering commitment to the highest standards of ethics and professional integrity.</li><li>Experience planning, defending and taking witness and party depositions.</li></ul>If interested, please submit your comprehensive cover letter, resume, and relevant writing samples to debroux@wscd.com.The salary range for this position is $125k-$150k and includes a generous bonus opportunity.
