POSITION TITLE: Plant Manager</div>

<div></div><div><b>Summary:</b><br>
Leads the manufacturing activity of a stand-alone thermoforming facility engaged in the production of polystyrene lids, which are sold to various institutional, retail and national accounts.</div>
<div></div><div><b>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</b></div>
<div>The following are essential job accountabilities:</div>
 <ul><li>Supervises a staff of both exempt managers/supervisors and non-exempt office personnel.</li>
<li>Directs all the activity of a plant with approximately 175 team members, engaged in the manufacturing, warehousing and shipping of food service products totaling more than $30 million in annual sales.</li>
 <li>Manages and controls inventories of raw material, work-in-process and finished goods valued at approximately $300K.</li>
 <li>Manages lid manufacturing in a combined production / warehouse facility of 56,000 square feet.</li>
<li>Oversees the maintenance of manufacturing equipment, and associated utility systems.</li>
<li>Maintains a work place safety record that has as its goal at zero level of recordable injuries and no lost time injuries.</li>
<li>Meets the planned objectives set for the plant, with special attention given to the control of those costs that affect plant overhead and product cost.</li>
<li>Maintains product quality to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, minimal complaints and no lost business due to quality.</li>
<li>Ensures that EEOC requirements and affirmative action goals are met and employees are treated in a manner that is fair, equitable and absent of any bias.</li>
 <li>Manages a plant staff to achieve the lowest possible product cost consistent with corporate established quality standards.</li>
<li>Plans the production activity of the plant, and schedules the workforce to ensure the timely delivery of all customer orders.</li>
<li>Maintains the plant and its equipment to provide a safe work environment for employees. Train the employees in the safe performance of their jobs as a way to further ensure an accident-free workplace.</li>
<li>Trains and develops personnel at all levels in the organization for successor responsibilities, and for the effective execution of their duties.</li>
<li>Develops a cohesive workforce that is motivated, characterized by high morale and a team approach to getting the job done.</li>
<li>Adheres to all good manufacturing practices (GMP), food safety, HACCP and SQF process requirements; rectify and/or report any and all non-compliance to Management or the SQF practitioner immediately.</li>
</ul><div>Controls inventory levels for maximum &ldquo;turns&rdquo; and minimal product obsolescence.</div>
<ul><li>Meets the annual performance objectives set for the plant.</li>
<li>Attends meetings as required.</li>
<li>Maintains housekeeping standards by keeping a clean work area at all times.</li>
<li>Acts as primary back up in the absence of the Production Manager.</li>
<li>Acts as secondary back up in the absence of the Human Resources Manager.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li>

<div></div><div><b>Requirements:</b></div>
<ul><li>The ideal candidate will possess 5-7 years of experience as a Plant Manager in a manufacturing environment. Plastics or consumer products industry strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a technical field desired.</li>
<li>Strong utility and environmental experience a plus.</li>
<li>Excellent mechanical, analytical and problem-solving skills required.</li>
<li>Previous experience with lean implementation and plastics experience highly desirable.</li>
<li>Must be detail oriented with good oral/written communication skills. Must be fluent in English.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a hands-on team environment. Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task effectively.</li>

<ul><li>Planning and Organizing: Demonstrates ability to plan and organize your own and direct reports work activities; analyze and disseminate numerical data; manage work time efficiently; follow procedures and policies; perform basic mathematical calculations, identify and solve problems.</li><li>Continuous Improvement: Always drives to improve skills including, but not limited to: manufacturing best-work-practices, Operation efficiency, Project Management, Technical, Internal Systems / Databases, etc. and the ability to adapt as production conditions warrant.</li><li>Collaborate and Coordinate: Demonstrates an ability to effectively collaborate and coordinate with other department personnel and internal support. This includes utilizing all WinCup resources at your disposal to effectively handle production issues and support.</li><li>Communication: Must possess excellent interpersonal communication, leadership, business writing, grammar and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills: Must be detail oriented, a team player and highly deadline driven.</li></ul></div>
<div></div><div><b>Qualifications:</b><br>
<ul><li>Education &ndash; Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree &ndash; Engineering or Industrial Management a plus</li><li>Experience &ndash; Seven years of supervision experience in a food grade manufacturing environment. Must have experience with P&amp;L management, cost and project management, plant Supply Chain oversight, Demonstrated ability to manage cost, quality and productivity while driving margin improvement.</li><li>Skills &ndash; Mechanical aptitude; computer literate, experience using Excel, Word and Outlook; good oral and written communication skills. <ul><li>Work space is one that contains moving mechanical parts.</li><li>Requires work in an indoor manufacturing environment that may be exposed to extreme heat that is not air conditioned.</li><li>Work environment contains loud noises and odors that may last for long periods of time or on a continual basis as well as occasional airborne particles.</li><li>Must wear PPE while working, which includes hairnet, hearing protection and safety glasses with side guards at all times.</li><li>Ability to work an 8+, 10+ or 12+ hour shifts as designated.</li><li>Able to work weekdays, weekends and overtime as designated.</li></ul></div>
