About the Team</b></p><p>
Within the Wind River Cloud team, we work with large-scale projects including Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack and fast-paced Open-Source technologies that are in high demand from our customers. Wind River Cloud has adopted these technologies into the core of our product, which is driving us to find experienced and high-performing individuals that can learn and contribute to these full software stack solutions to fulfill the strict requirements of edge computing use cases from security to high availability. The team delivers in the areas of configuration management, fault management and host management. In addition, Wind River Cloud team is a leading contributor to the Open Source StarlingX cloud native project, to manage and maintain the critical infrastructure for highly distributed Edge solutions, primarily 5G.</p><p>
The right candidate will possess proven software engineering skills. You are expected to be versatile and able to thrive in a dynamic environment developing applications and tooling to be fault tolerant, available and scalable for real time Kubernetes applications. You are comfortable managing competing priorities and can bring order to ambiguous scenarios. Maturity, impeccable judgment, and the ability to influence and lead are essential to success in this role.</p><p><b><br>
Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li> Develop leading edge, high performance cloud and container technologies for the Edge.</li><li> Work with the most dynamic and exciting open source software projects today &ndash; Kubernetes (K8S), Helm, Openstack and related projects</li><li> Work as part of a team focused on containerization, virtualization, VM management and fault tolerance/carrier grade development.</li><li> Contribute actively to StarlingX, an open source project under the OpenStack Foundation - a fully featured cloud for the distributed edge (<b>https://www.starlingx.io/</b>).</li><li> Develop and deliver high quality design and code.</li><li> Develop automated tests, enabling faster design and test cycles.</li><li> Investigate and resolve issues reported during product verification and customer integration.</li><li> Participate in all aspects of the software development process using agile development.</li></ul><p><b><br>

Purpose of the Job</b></p><p>
We are looking for an energetic and talented individual to join our growing team as a Senior Accountant. In this critical role, you will make a significant contribution to the &ldquo;engine&rdquo; of finance and accounting through the enhancement and implementation of accounting systems and processes, assisting with month-end close activities, and other special project designed to drive efficiencies and scalability while ensuring effective policy and control. The ideal candidate will be a team player and have a solid background in Accounts Payable. You will be empowered to take ownership of projects to drive results. Your success will be supported by the team, and you will receive third party training and direct access to external technology solution consultants.
</p><p>The role will be both demanding and rewarding where you can make a difference working in a cornerstone team of our organization, with exposure to senior leaders. Responsibilities</b></div><ul><li>
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses.</li><li>
Assist in the month end close and reporting process, external audits, annual and monthly accounting commitments.
</li><li>Take ownership, with limited supervision of daily Accounts Payable and vendor management function through Oracle R12, uploading of payments in banking channel, assist monthly consolidation and reporting process and maintain accurate Accounts Payable and Withholding tax reconciliation accounts.</li><li>
Review expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies.</li><li>
Own Vendor onboarding process, review vendor invoices to confirm the account code, budget, taxes, and payment arrangements.</li><li>
Collaborate in Customs processes (Imports and Exports).
</li><li>Help maintain a strong control environment that is compliant with company policy and accounting standards. Develop SOP&rsquo;s for IFC and SOX controls.</li><li>
Work on complex issues where analysis of data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.</li><li>

The candidate must be based in Bangalore.</li><li>
5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably within a multi-national enterprise.</li><li>
Oracle R12 experience required.</li><li>
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent with a solid knowledge of Accounts Payable and general ledger structure.</li><li>
India income tax withholding (TDS) knowledge, data collation and monitoring of filing of TDS returns.</li><li>
Familiarity with vendor prepayment, employee prepayments and related settlement processes.</li><li>
Familiar with UAT testing and driving with ERP support desk to go live the patches and system implementation in AP modules.
</li><li>Strong Excel skills.</li><li>
Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, multi-task, and work independently, and execute objectives with minimal supervision.</li><li>
