Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about maintaining impeccable financial records, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.</li><li>Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy of financial data.</li><li>Prepare detailed journal entries, account analyses, and ledger adjustments in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).</li><li>Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.</li><li>Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to verify account accuracy.</li><li>Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed.</li><li>Generate comprehensive financial reports, including budgets, financial statements, and audit documentation.</li><li>Support month-end and year-end closing procedures with meticulous attention to detail.</li><li>Handle account reconciliation tasks such as debits &amp; credits, account analysis, and 10 key typing for data entry accuracy.</li><li>Collaborate with external auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial records.</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within corporate or non-profit sectors.</li><li>Strong proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, and other financial tools.</li><li>Solid understanding of GAAP standards and double entry bookkeeping principles.</li><li>Experience with governmental accounting practices and tax regulations is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with bank reconciliation processes, journal entries, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation techniques.</li><li>Knowledge of payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable management.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis accurately.</li><li>Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality and integrity.</li><li>Strong communication skills for preparing financial reports and collaborating across teams.
