Class A CDL Operator
Position Summary
Ambipar Response is seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Class A CDL Driver to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of equipment, roll-off boxes, vacuum tankers, and waste materials. This role requires a strong work ethic, adherence to safety regulations, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
Position Details<ul><li>Reports to: Base Operations Coordinator</li><li>Location: Onsite</li><li>Position Type: Full-Time</li><li>FLSA Status: Non-Exempt</li><li>Pay: Hourly</li><li>Travel: Up to 40%</li></ul>
Essential Job Functions<ul><li>Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck or straight truck in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies.</li><li>Utilize vacuum trucks to extract, contain, and transport liquid, sludge, and solid waste safely, ensuring proper suction pressure, hose management, and containment procedures to prevent spills and environmental hazards.</li><li>Load, secure, transport, and unload roll-off containers efficiently while complying with weight restrictions, site-specific protocols, and DOT regulations.</li><li>Ensure all waste materials, including hazardous and non-hazardous substances, are handled, transported, and disposed of in accordance with federal, state, and company guidelines.</li><li>Accurately and efficiently utilize electronic logging devices (eLogs) to track hours of service and compliance.</li><li>Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is in proper working condition.</li><li>Promptly report any issues, mechanical failures, or incidents to dispatch to ensure operational efficiency and safety.</li><li>Securely load and unload cargo at designated pickup and delivery locations, potentially using liftgates or pallet jacks when necessary.</li><li>Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules, utilizing GPS navigation to ensure timely deliveries.</li><li>Operate and maintain vacuum trucks for the safe and efficient transportation of liquids, sludge, and other materials in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.</li><li>Assist crew members when needed, fostering teamwork and a collaborative work environment.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Minimum Job Requirements<ul><li>Highschool Diploma of equivalent (GED)</li><li>Valid Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and Drivers License required with no restrictions and an acceptable driving record</li><li>Strong understanding of road rules and regulations and vehicle maintenance and safety regulations</li><li>Ability to pass a DOT and Hazmat physical examination</li><li>Previous experience in truck driving, equipment transportation, or related field</li><li>Strong work ethic, reliability, and dedication to safety</li><li>Ability to work under pressure in emergency situations</li><li>Physical stamina and capability to perform labor-intensive tasks</li><li>Commitment to safety and teamwork</li><li>Ability to work autonomously on projects without direct supervision</li><li>Ability interpret and follow written and verbal instructions and assignments</li><li>Experience working outside in all types of weather conditions</li><li>Detail orientated with a strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic work environment</li><li>Strong organizational skills</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication abilities when interacting with customers, regulators, direct reports, and managers</li><li>Ability to travel (within an assigned region)</li></ul>
Preferred Job Requirements<ul><li>Ability to drive a manual vehicle</li><li>Experience operating roll-off boxes</li><li>Hazmat endorsement</li><li>Bilingual proficiency is strongly preferred</li></ul>
Work Schedule/Work Environment<ul><li>The standard working hours are 7 AM &ndash; 4 PM. This candidate should be willing and available to work overtime as needed to meet project demands and deadlines, including extended hours, overtime, various shifts including nights and weekends and holidays when necessary</li><li>This position may require extended periods of travel and working in inclement weather.</li><li>Must be able to stand and work on feet for 8&ndash;12 hour shifts</li><li>Must be able to sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, reach, crawl, and kneel</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 10 feet</li><li>Ability to handle physically demanding tasks (loading and unloading materials as needed in excess of 100lbs)</li><li>Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders</li><li>Must be able to climb ladders, and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights.</li><li>Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sounds by ear</li><li>Must be able to wear personal protective equipment</li><li>Jobs are frequently completed outside and if needed, in inclement weather conditions.</li><li>Perform work in confined spaces, heights, and/or in water</li><li>Ability to wear APR&rsquo;s SCBA&rsquo;s, supplied air, and various levels of protective suits, and Personal Projective Equipment as required in accordance with company standards and procedures</li><li>May be exposed to non-hazardous and hazardous material</li><li>Some aspects of the clean-up work may generate a significant amount of static electricity</li><li>Work in extreme weather conditions and temperatures</li></ul>

Firefighter/EMT 
 
The Firefighter/EMT position provides fire suppression, emergency medical, and security services. The Firefighter/EMT will be expected to make routine inspections and fire safety assessments throughout facility grounds, buildings, and office areas.

Essential Job Functions<ul><li>
Respond to all types of fires and emergencies on site, including hazardous materials incidents, natural disasters, and other emergencies; perform searches, suppress and extinguish fires, and perform related life and property protection.</li><li>
Provides emergency and medical care at a basic level.</li><li>
Identifies, isolates, and contains hazardous materials safely and effectively.</li><li>
Drives emergency vehicles and operates related apparatus to respond to emergency calls and scenes.</li><li>
Participates in ongoing training and education sessions.</li><li>
Ensures the proper condition, maintenance, and appearance of apparatus and equipment; prepares and ensures vehicles and apparatus are ready for immediate response.</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Minimum Job Requirements<ul><li>
Current, valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>
Current Colorado DFPC Firefighter I certification</li><li>
Valid Colorado EMS certification</li><li>
Ability to pass a Firefighter physical/stress test</li><li>
2 years as a paid full-time Firefighter or any combination of 3 years experience as a full-time, part-time or volunteer Firefighter within the last 5 years</li><li>
Experience working with hazardous materials</li><li>
Knowledge of fire response operations, emergency medical care, and firefighting equipment inspections</li></ul>
Preferred Job Requirements<ul><li>
Current Colorado DFPC Firefighter II certification</li><li>
Experience with building and fire codes, modern fire prevention principles, procedures and equipment</li><li>
Confined Space Rescue training</li></ul>
Physical Requirements<ul><li>
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, and bend.</li><li>
Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.</li><li>
Occasionally required to kneel, crouch, climb or crawl.</li><li>
