About usWonton Food Inc. is a leader in food manufacturing looking for a Mid - Shift (2pm-10:30pm) Quality Control Technician with a great attitude to join our growing team!Responsibilities:&middot; Ensure employees follow all GMP&rsquo;s on the production floor.&middot; Assist in employee training, coaching, and mentoring.&middot; Ensure employees follow SOP and food safety requirements.&middot; Ensure finished product is in spec based on customer requirements.&middot; Place product on &ldquo;hold&rdquo; if not in spec and notify appropriate personnel.&middot; Ensure correct raw material is used by product specifications.&middot; Ensure correct packaging is used for the finished product, boxes, labels, tape, etc.&middot; Assist with the organization and sanitation of the machine lines.&middot; Ensure correct handling and storage of raw material, finished product, and packaging material.&middot; Serve as a liaison between production and quality department.&middot; Perform routine finished product sampling and inspection/analysis to ensure product specifications are confirmed.&middot; Assist in product development testing when necessary.&middot; Perform necessary record keeping.&middot; Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.&middot; Tasks assigned by the direct supervisor included but not limited to the above functions.Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have previous quality control or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment? If Yes, for how long?</li><li>Are you familiar with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), food safety procedures, and sanitation requirements?</li><li>Do you have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, or data entry systems?</li><li>Are you willing to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hairnet, beard net (if applicable), gloves, safety glasses, and slip-resistant footwear?</li><li>Are you able to follow detailed instructions, company policies, and food safety standards?</li><li>Are you able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening?</li><li>Are you able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check, in accordance with applicable laws?</li><li>How soon would you be available to start if selected?</li><li>Are you available to work the required shift 2:00pm to 10:30pm, including overtime or weekends if needed?</li></ul>Ability to Commute:<ul><li>La Vergne, TN 37086 (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
