Responsibilities:</b></div><ul><li>
Contribute as a key member of the plant management team.</li><li>
Supervise materials department including office/reception and HS&amp;E functions, as assigned by the WCFP HS&amp;E Appendix A, as well as assigned WPS tasks.</li><li>
Manage the materials function including scheduling of production and maintenance of optimum raw materials and finished goods inventory levels.</li><li>
Management of warehousing, shipping and receiving activities.</li><li>
Analysis and interpretation of customer releases.</li><li>
Perform MRP and generate vendor releases.</li><li>
Optimization of freight cost.</li><li>
Responsible for AS400 information and liaison with IT department.</li><li>
Responsible for department operating budget.</li><li>
Responsible le for implementation of safe work practices.</li><li>
Provide backup coverage for receiving, as needed.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Direct Reports</b></div><ul><li>
Materials department including up to 3 support staff and 13 material handlers / forklift operators.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Skills &amp; Knowledge Required</b></div><ul><li>
Knowledge and skills of computerized materials scheduling and inventory control, production scheduling, purchasing, traffic and warehouse functions including shipping and receiving in a JIT environment.</li><li>
Knowledge of ERP, AS400, AS36 or other similar computer system.</li><li>
Strong interpersonal, communication and supervisory skills.</li><li>
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.</li><li>
Ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.</li><li>
Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Educational Requirements</b></div><ul><li>
Bachelor degree from four-year college or university or two to four years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
