Main Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>
Plans, implements and evaluates healthcare programs at the hospital in conjunction with local public health agencies and other provider agencies.</li><li>
Develops criteria for and conducts on site review of hospital programs to collect and analyze information necessary to evalucate local public health programs.</li><li>
Develops an interprets rules, policies and procedures related to public health programes and services for implementation by the hospital.
</li><li>Revise, update and develop policy and procedures for the infection prevention and control manual related to hospital programs.</li><li>
Develops criteria for the evaluation of hospital programs and conducts evaluations in cooperation with involved staff.
</li><li>Designs and implements health education and training programs for staff of the hospital</li><li>
Develops educational materials, newsletters, reports and other documents to enhance public awareness regarding the public health programs.</li><li>
Participate in preparation and review of the annual report related to public health in the assigned area/region.</li><li>
Participate in related outbreaks investigations, prepare clinical reports and supervise required intervention as Public Health Coordinator with Infection Prevention and Control Director.
</li><li>Participate in committes related to community and public health.</li><li>
Perform clinical duties and consultations related to commicable diseases screening and prevention.</li><li>
Prepares requests for proposals, program agreements, and related materials for coliciting and establishing hospital supported health programs at the local level.
</li><li>Maintains records and prepares reports and correspondence related to the work.</li><li>
Performs related work as assigned.

Relationships and Communications: work-stream leads, subordinates, all involved internal disciplines (clinical and non)
Decisions and Judgements: Expected to make major decisions and to provide guidance, advice to subordinate staff on work related matters, has direct influence on the achievement of departmental activities

<div>Woodston Personnel is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant in Hematology &amp; Transfusion Medicine to join our client&rsquo;s medical team at a leading healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia. The consultant will be responsible for the diagnosis, management, and ongoing care of patients with a wide range of hematological disorders, with a particular focus on transfusion medicine and blood banking. The role involves active participation in clinical services, transfusion protocols, education, research, and departmental leadership.
Main Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>
Deliver expert hematology care, including the evaluation and management of patients with benign and malignant hematological disorders.</li><li>
Lead and oversee transfusion medicine services, including blood banking, apheresis, and therapeutic phlebotomy.</li><li>
Provide expert guidance on the appropriate use of blood and blood products in clinical settings.</li><li>
Ensure compliance with transfusion safety standards, hemovigilance protocols, and regulatory requirements.</li><li>
Participate in hematopathology reviews, bone marrow procedures, and laboratory oversight where applicable.</li><li>
Engage in multidisciplinary meetings and tumor boards to optimize patient outcomes.</li><li>
Provide on-call coverage for hematology and transfusion services as required.</li><li>
Take a leadership role in developing institutional transfusion policies and clinical guidelines.</li><li>
Supervise and ensure quality assurance in blood transfusion practices and laboratory operations.</li><li>
Collaborate with the blood bank, clinical laboratories, and infection control teams to maintain high safety and quality standards.</li><li>
Participate in clinical governance, morbidity and mortality reviews, and audit processes.</li><li>
Mentor and guide junior staff, fellows, and residents in hematology and transfusion medicine.</li><li>
Contribute to research and innovation in hematology and transfusion practices.</li><li>
Support clinical trials and investigator-led studies within the department.</li></ul><ul><li>
Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at national and international conferences.</li><li>
Participate in the training and education of medical students, residents, and clinical staff.</li></ul><ul><li>
Organize and deliver continuing medical education (CME) and departmental teaching sessions.</li><li>
Promote awareness and training on transfusion safety and best practices.</li></ul>

US Board Certification in Hematology (Internal Medicine pathway or Pathology pathway)</li><li>
FRCS / FRCPath / FRCP (Hematology) &ndash; Recognized from UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand</li><li>
Dipl&ocirc;me d'&Eacute;tudes Sp&eacute;cialis&eacute;es (DES) or CIS &ndash; French Board in Hematology or Transfusion Medicine</li><li>
Facharzt (Germany, Austria, or Switzerland) in Hematology and/or Transfusion Medicine with subspecialty training or fellowship</li><li>
CCST UK &ndash; Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training in Hematology (UK)</li></ul>
Minimum 3&ndash;5 years post-board/fellowship experience in Hematology and/or Transfusion Medicine, preferably in a tertiary or academic setting.
Proven expertise in managing transfusion services, including blood banking, component therapy, apheresis, and transfusion reaction management.
Experience in quality improvement, transfusion audits, and regulatory compliance is highly desirable.</div>
