What You&rsquo;ll Do</b></p></div><div><div><div><div><p><br>
As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key leadership role in driving sales and profitability, fostering a customer-first selling culture and executing daily business priorities. In partnership with the Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performance team while maintaining our values, brand, policies, and operational standards.<br>
Your Assistant Manager role will include leadership responsibilities in one or more of the following areas of the business: Customer Experience, Freight Flow, Operations and Merchandising. The area of responsibility will be determined based on business needs along with your experience, skills and career goals.</p><p></p><p>
Your primary job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:</p><div><ul><li><br>
Model and lead a customer-first selling culture by driving engagement, customer loyalty initiatives, visual standards, and brand values</li><li>Analyze business trends utilizing all available reporting to problem-solve business opportunities and take appropriate action</li><li>Consistently exemplify, maintain, and foster the culture and values of World Market</li><li>Plan for and execute daily business tasks and duties assigned by and in the absence of the Store Manager</li><li>Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performance, customer-focused team that aligns with our company values through training, recognition, and performance management</li><li>Utilize all company tools and training resources to educate and validate team execution of key business functions</li><li>Validate and maintain all Loss Prevention policies and procedures and inventory management initiatives</li><li>Support and maintain a safe work environment through ongoing safety training, awareness, and accountability</li></ul>

<b>Skills &amp; Experience You&rsquo;ll Bring</b></div><div><ul><li><br>
Proven leadership experience delivering results, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Effective communication skills, being open to feedback, and the ability to adapt quickly</li><li>Ability to provide in the moment coaching to associates</li><li>Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively</li><li>Ability to plan and prioritize according to the needs of the business</li><li>Strong sense of urgency</li><li>Attention to detail</li><li>Creative problem solving</li><li>Sound decision-making skills</li><li>Effective delegation skills</li><li>Ability to execute daily priorities efficiently</li><li>Minimum of 2+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail environment preferred</li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, based on business needs</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 40 lbs. as needed</li><li>Minimum age: 21 years</li></ul></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div><p></p><div><div><div><div><p>
