This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients&rsquo; recovery journeys while advancing your professional expertise in a fast-paced, supportive environment.Responsibilities<ul><li>Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including physical examinations, vital signs, and detailed wound assessments to determine appropriate treatment strategies.</li><li>Manage complex wound care cases using advanced techniques such as debridement, dressing selection, and skin grafting when necessary.</li><li>Administer specialized treatments including botulinum toxin therapy for certain conditions and perform procedures like suturing and catheterization with precision.</li><li>Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care plans, discharge planning, and follow-up assessments.</li><li>Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently.</li><li>Educate patients and their families on wound care management, infection prevention, nutrition, and lifestyle modifications to promote healing.</li><li>Participate in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing wound care protocols and patient safety standards.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Valid certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current licensure in the state of practice.</li><li>Proven experience in advanced wound care management or related fields such as critical care, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine.</li><li>Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and data retrieval.</li><li>Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, infection control protocols, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.</li><li>Experience performing procedures such as IV infusion, phlebotomy, sterile dressing changes, suturing, and catheterization.</li><li>Familiarity with CPT coding for billing purposes and understanding of Workers' Compensation law is a plus.</li><li>Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication tailored to diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities.</li><li>Ability to work effectively in outpatient clinics or inpatient settings such as ICU or trauma centers; telehealth experience is advantageous.
