What does </b><b>a </b><b>Proofreader do at WPP Production?</b></p>
<p>
This is a second shift position working hours will be 11:0AM - 7:00PM EST.</p>
<p>
Proofreads a high volume of marketing materials and brand communications, including product packaging, in-store signage for retail and channel partners, e-commerce, and brand guidelines. Works closely with editors and the legal, production, and project marketing teams to ensure accuracy and integrity across all deliverables.</p>
<p><b>
Key Responsibilities:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Ensuring brand quality and consistency across thousands of print and digital mechanicals distributed to global partners</li>
<li>Proofreading marketing collateral, such as comparison signs, collections signs, product pages, features pages, and marketing guides</li>
<li>Dedication to brand excellence and to maintaining the highest level of quality and confidentiality</li>
<li>Ability to check specs beyond grammar sharing some QA/QC responsibilities</li>
<li>Work within Adobe Acrobat or other linked pending review</li>
<li>Be the keeper on brand guidelines for major national and global brands</li>
<li>Precise proofreading for all deliverables in a timely manner</li>
<li>Communicate with offshore teams and PMs to transfer work through design, proofreading, QA and delivery</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Requirements:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>A minimum of 4 years' experience in editing, copyediting, and/or proofreading marketing, advertising and technical materials at a publication, design firm, corporate marketing communications department, or ad agency, preferably for a creative or consumer brand</li>
<li>Demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to work diplomatically in a dynamic, confidential studio environment</li>
<li>Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to focus, prioritize, and pivot in a fast-paced environment</li>
<li>Experience working for global brands</li>
<li>Ability to work with offshore QA teams</li>
<li>An understanding of the production process and of brand channel, retail, interactive, and packaging practices</li>
<li>Strong organizational and time management skills to handle concurrent projects, track milestones, manage active deadlines, advance deliverables, and find solutions to daily challenges</li>
<li>Able to navigate complex processes and tools, including a specialized ticketing system to edit and route deliverables</li>
<li>Flexible during high-volume periods (longer hours and weekends) and able to adapt and assimilate immediately if called on to work for a few hours within an environment of constant change, simultaneous projects, and shifting priorities and timelines</li>
<li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop, Fido, and iWork</li>

</div></div></div></div><p><b>What does an Assistant Editor do at WPP Production?</b></p>
<p>
Our Assistant Editors are pivotal to our operations, serving as integral components in the central nervous system of our unique, multi-discipline post-production powerhouse. You'll be responsible for both creative and technical tasks throughout the post-production lifecycle. We expect you not only to understand the mechanics of the job but also to grasp the underlying principles, applying your extensive knowledge of workflows and best practices across a variety of complex projects and milestones. Ideal candidates will possess a keen attention to detail, adeptness at managing multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring seamless team communication, and a commitment to continually enhancing and refining standard operating procedures. We seek proactive individuals who provide candid feedback and strive for excellence, with a requisite sense of humor.</p>
<p><b>
Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Conducting footage/music searches, QC, conversion, ingestion, synchronization, and organization of project media</li>
<li>Developing expertise in delivery formats and platform destinations, including final QC</li>
<li>Providing support to editors throughout the project lifecycle</li>
<li>Collaborating with Studio Support to establish and maintain project folder hierarchy and setup</li>
<li>Maintaining close communication with Producers to ensure timely project delivery</li>
<li>Leading project wrap efforts to facilitate archival of critical client data</li>
<li>Balancing independent and managed workflows, often transitioning between both</li>
<li>Troubleshooting problems and effectively communicating issues to post tech teams</li>
<li>Comfortably working both on-site and remotely</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Requirements</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 2+ year of experience using Premiere, and ideally After Effects, within the commercial,</li>
</ul>
<p>advertising, or related content space</p>
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in other Adobe Creative Cloud software such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator as they relate to video editing</li>
<li>Familiarity with accelerated file transfer utilities like Media Shuttle, Aspera, etc.</li>
<li>Understanding of video standards, specifications, and formats (image rasters, frame rates, codecs, audio, etc.)</li>
<li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Working knowledge and usage of social media platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and Facebook</li>
<li>Bonus points for candidates with knowledge of color science, conform workflows, and familiarity with</li>
<li>software such as Davinci Resolve, C4D, Autodesk Flame, and Pro</li>
<li>Bachelor's degree in film/television production or equivalent related work experience is welcomed</li>
