Sun Prairie, WI WPPI Energy, a Sun Prairie-based municipal electric utility, seeks an attorney to work closely with existing legal staff and various business units. This position will report to the Assistant General Counsel. Responsibilities: <ul><li>Provide legal counsel and advice on all aspects of WPPI Energy&rsquo;s operations</li></ul><ul><li>Regularly collaborate and interface with WPPI Energy business units, outside counsel, and legal counsel for external parties</li></ul><ul><li>Draft and negotiate complex transaction and financing agreements</li></ul><ul><li>Assist in the development and maintenance of corporate policies, procedures and compliance programs</li></ul><ul><li>Support monitoring and engagement on behalf of WPPI Energy in legal and regulatory forums</li></ul>Qualified candidates will preferably have: <ul><li>Juris Doctorate degree from nationally accredited law school</li></ul><ul><li>Admitted or willing and qualified to promptly attain admission to practice law in the State of Wisconsin</li></ul><ul><li>Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiating skills with consistent attention to detail</li></ul><ul><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact and collaborate with individuals at all levels</li></ul><ul><li>Contract and business law experience is desirable</li></ul><ul><li>Knowledge of the electric industry is a plus</li></ul>WPPI Energy is proud to provide our staff with a flexible and employee-friendly work environment.
