Job Summary We are seeking a experienced and energetic Preschool Teacher for our small preschool classroom in Cranston. The qualified candidate should have experience with lesson planning, including the RIELDS in your curriculum. The classroom has a maximum of 15 children with a teacher and assistant. The children are between the ages of 3-5 years old. This is a prime opportunity for someone who wants to take a lead role creating a warm, engaging classroom environment that promotes curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills across various areas including literacy, math, physical education, and social interaction. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help shape a positive learning experience for children aged 3 to 5 years old, fostering their independence and love for learning from the very start. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children&rsquo;s lives while working in a dynamic educational setting.Duties<ul><li>Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to early childhood development standards, incorporating elements of the RIELDS.</li><li>Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social-emotional learning through engaging activities and age-appropriate lesson plans.</li><li>Manage daily classroom routines with effective behavior management techniques to promote positive interactions and discipline.</li><li>Conduct assessments of each child's developmental progress using standardized testing methods and observational techniques to inform instruction and support early intervention needs.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and behavioral observations while ensuring compliance with childcare regulations and standards.</li><li>Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, classroom management, childcare best practices.</li><li>Participate in parent-teacher conferences to communicate children's progress effectively and foster strong home-school connections.</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>1-2 years experience working in an early childhood, preschool classroom.</li><li>Classroom management skills that promote positive behavior and foster a positive learning environment.</li><li>Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage parents in their child's educational journey.</li><li>Knowledge of childcare regulations and best practices.</li><li>Certification in early childhood education or related fields a plus.</li></ul>Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Professional development assistance</li><li>Tuition reimbursement</li></ul>Work Location: In person
