<div><p><b>Position Title:</b> Accounting Specialist (Timekeeping Focused)</p><p><b>
Reports to:</b> Director of Financial Services</p><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Position Summary</b></h1><p>
Accounting Specialist will perform a variety of tasks related to the maintenance/processing of payroll for multiple jobs. When not assigned to a specific job, perform various duties and special projects in the Accounting Department.</p><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Key Responsibilities</b></h1><ul><li>
Process employee date changes (hires, terminations, updates, earnings/deductions) into payroll systems.</li><li>
Verify employee documentation for accuracy and completeness.</li><li>
Manage and reconcile Time &amp; Attendance data between systems.</li><li>
Allocate labor, time, and equipment in tracking systems and maintain related logs.</li><li>
Prepare and update daily jobsite reports, including manpower and foreman reports.</li><li>
Generate and distribute payroll and operational reports as needed.</li><li>
Prepare weekly labor and equipment timesheets for client approval.</li><li>
Support Accounts Payable with invoice entry, statement review, and issue resolution.</li><li>
Resolve payroll discrepancies at jobsite and escalate unresolved issues to the Payroll Lead.</li><li>
Cross-train team members and perform additional administrative, payroll, or accounting tasks as assigned.</li></ul><h1 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
Qualifications
</b></h1><p><b>Education
</b></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)</li><li>
Associate degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or related experience (Preferred)</li><li>
Valid state-issued driver's license (Required)</li></ul><p><b>
Experience</b></p><ul><li>
1-3 years of experience in accounting or payroll (Required)</li><li>
Experience in refinery and petrochemical construction environment (Preferred)</li><li>
Prior work involving payroll, accounts payable, and accounting functions (Preferred)</li><li>
Prior work experience using TRACK (Preferred)</li><li>
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of sometimes stressful situations (Required)</li></ul><p><b>
Skills &amp; Competencies</b></p><ul><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel</li><li>
Strong attention to detail with the ability to review work for accuracy, organization, and compliance with policies and procedures</li><li>
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills</li><li>
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and internal staff</li><li>
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices</li><li>
Experience with relevant billing software and systems such as Viewpoint, TRACK, CDMS, SAP, and Coupa is a plus</li></ul><p></p><p><b><i><br>
