Ensure the highest degree in applied hygiene and food safety as per the ADFCA, HACCP guidelines to ensure that all bakery products served to the Guests are of the highest quality and standard</li><li>Ensure that all bakery dishes leaving the Kitchen are of appropriate portion and presented as per recipes and presentation standards set by the Pastry Chef</li><li>Create high quality and standard bakery products to satisfy the Guests needs</li><li>Work in close cooperation with all other key departments in the hotel to ensure a smooth operation</li><li>Control the food cost by preparing / reviewing all store requisitions and direct purchases and ensure the accurate delivery of goods in order to achieve the budgeted profitability</li><li>Attend required meetings and conduct daily briefings with your team members ensuring efficient communication, to run the bakery operation smoothly</li><li>Train all the team members under direct supervision in order to produce very high standard of bakery products (set by the Pastry Chef) in the Kitchen</li></ul><p></p><p><b>

Human Resources</b></p><ul><li>Ensure that the hotels are fully compliant with Wyndham people processes and deadlines that govern all Wyndham properties. E.g. AES, Success Matters, Probation reviews etc.</li><li>Assists the Pastry Chef in the administration of the probation review process in the operational departments and ensure that follow-up for all issues is done in timely manner and results of both follow-up and the initial reviews are communicated to all relevant parties.</li><li>Talent Reviews taken place as per the communicated timeline and are live in the business.</li><li>Ensure 100% compliance with all mandatory training for departments; as well as the Departmental Trainers are positively encouraged.</li><li>Assists the Pastry Chef in controlling the Labor turn over, Absence and Payroll in your department in conjunction with the HR Leader on property to ensure that any areas of concern.</li><li>Manage the annual associate survey process in your department with the Pastry Chef and ensure that the follow up meetings are done and the associates have timely feedback.</li><li>Support WYN.com with quarterly People, Community and Sustainability engagement events</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
Communication</b></p><ul><li>Communicate effectively within the organization at all levels using the most appropriate communication method for the matter concerned.</li><li>Conduct regular brief, concise, well prepared meetings and ensure follow-up.</li><li>Communicate with Guest and be visible in the local community as a representative of the hotel.</li></ul>

The barista is responsible for delivering exceptional coffee and beverage experiences to hotel guests and patrons. This role involves preparing high-quality coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and contributing to overall guest satisfaction in the hotel&rsquo;s food and beverage outlets.</p><p></p><p><b>
Key Responsibilities:</b></p><p>
1. Beverage Preparation:</p><ul><li>Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, and other beverages according to recipes and guest preferences.</li><li>Operate and maintain coffee-making equipment (e.g., espresso machines, grinders, blenders).</li><li>Ensure consistency in drink quality and presentation.</li></ul><p>
2. Customer Service:</p><ul><li>Greet guests warmly, take orders accurately, and provide recommendations on beverages or menu items.</li><li>Handle special requests, dietary needs, or customizations with care and efficiency.</li><li>Address guest inquiries or complaints professionally, escalating to management when necessary.</li></ul><p>
3. Cash Handling and Transactions:</p><ul><li>Process payments using point-of-sale (POS) systems, ensuring accuracy in transactions.</li><li>Handle cash, credit cards, and room charges in accordance with hotel policies.</li></ul><p>
4. Cleanliness and Hygiene:</p><ul><li>Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation, including counters, equipment, and seating areas.</li><li>Follow health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and proper handling of ingredients.</li><li>Restock supplies such as cups, lids, napkins, and condiments as needed.</li></ul><p>
5. Inventory and Stock Management:</p><ul><li>Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, reporting shortages to management.</li><li>Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring proper rotation of stock (first-in, first-out).</li></ul><p>
6. Team Collaboration:</p><ul><li>Work closely with other food and beverage staff, including servers, kitchen staff, and managers, to ensure seamless service.</li><li>Assist with additional tasks in the caf&eacute; or restaurant during peak times, such as serving pastries or light snacks.</li></ul><p>
7. Brand Standards and Atmosphere:</p><ul><li>Uphold the hotel&rsquo;s brand standards by delivering a professional and welcoming experience.</li><li>Contribute to a positive and inviting atmosphere in the caf&eacute; or bar area through friendly demeanor and attention to detail.</li></ul>
