THE OPPORTUNITY 
As Professional Services Implementation Consultant at Xactly Corporation, you&rsquo;ll be responsible for the project implementation lifecycle from beginning to end, including requirements gathering, documentation, configuration, leading the customer through User Acceptance Testing, and deployment across several Xactly products. Client interactions will typically be at the Director level and above at companies who expect a high level of customer service. We are seeking an individual with strong consulting experience, excellent communication, and customer management skills, preferably with domain expertise in sales compensation or management and experience with any programming language or skills with relational databases. THE TEAM 
Xactly&rsquo;s Professional Services team is a mix of consultants, compensation experts, and sales professionals. The team comes from a plethora of industries including SaaS, consulting, financial services and management consulting. They&rsquo;re a group of driven, highly motivated, self- starters who have the ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fluid start-up culture. They are fast learners turned compensation consultants with the business savvy to execute complex projects in all client verticals and interact with any customer persona.
THE SKILL SET<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience</li><li>
2-4 years of experience in Technology Consulting and Business Analysis, or related fields</li><li>
Translation of customer requirements into solution design with the ability to guide clients through the decision-making process and consult on best practices or business changes which will improve their solution and experience</li><li>
Strong technology and business acumen with matching problem-solving skills (business and technical)</li><li>
Deep understanding of SDLC, RDBMS data structures, and database concepts</li><li>
Strong skills in SQL development</li><li>
Prior experience with the relevant domain(s)</li><li>
System integration experience and troubleshooting skills</li><li>
Ability to work as functional lead on assigned projects and oversee the work of others as needed while driving customer outcomes</li><li>
Outstanding service-orientation, strong interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (business and technical)</li><li>
Past experience in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment</li><li>
Self-aware, motivated, coachable, and able to work seamlessly as part of a larger team</li><li>

Experience working in the Sales Performance Management space required</li></ul>
WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU&rsquo;LL:<ul><li>
Participate in our Professional Services Bootcamp, which will introduce you to our products and processes as well as take you through a mock implementation.</li><li>
Begin ramping onto projects as soon as training is completed.</li><li>
Interact with customers as part of your first live implementations.</li></ul>
WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU&rsquo;LL:<ul><li>
Consistently and successfully implement work for both new and existing customers.</li><li>
Be fully ramped up, managing up to 10 concurrent implementations and taking customers live with Xactly each month.</li><li>
Be fully versed in Xactly tools keeping essential customer data organized and tracking all your interactions with customers.</li><li>
Become a subject matter expert in at least one aspect of Xactly&rsquo;s products and related activities, including supporting other Implementation Consultants as they work with that aspect</li><li>
Create urgency, instill confidence, and provide fantastic customer service as you guide customers through the initial implementation and their early adoption stage of Xactly at their company.</li></ul>
WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU&rsquo;LL:<ul><li>
Continue to manage a high volume of customers through the implementation process to ensure successful projects and adoption of Xactly</li><li>
Interact with customers each day to drive urgency, engagement and utilization.</li><li>
Become a subject matter expert in several aspects of Xactly&rsquo;s products, including developing training materials to support other Implementation Consultants</li><li>
Meet and exceed quarterly metrics and objectives.</li><li>
Provide input for overall implementation process improvements.</li></ul>
WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU&rsquo;LL:<ul><li>
Mentor new hires and teach best practices to lead the team towards future success.</li><li>
Deepen knowledge of tactics to increase satisfaction and improve implementation time within your projects and share across the team.</li><li>
Lead requirements gathering sessions with customers, create a design which meets their needs, and execute on it in our applications.</li><li>
Identify gaps within our processes, propose solutions and execute to continue raising the bar with the team.</li></ul>

About the Role
Xactly&rsquo;s AI Labs is building the next generation of intelligent agents and AI-powered experiences across our Sales Performance Management suite. We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who will be the foundational DS member of the team in India. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys full ownership, and can translate high-level business goals into data-driven solutions with minimal supervision.
You will work directly with AI Labs leadership to convert 15+ years of incentive compensation, quota, and performance data into actionable insights, models, and features that power our AI agents (Plan Config Agent, Dispute Agent, Data Exploration Assistant, etc.). Your work will materially shape how Xactly customers perceive value from AI.<div>
Build the insights layer for Xactly&rsquo;s incentive data 
<ul><li> Analyze 15+ years of complex compensation, quota, attainment, and plan design data.</li><li>Identify patterns, anomalies, risk indicators, and optimization opportunities.</li><li>Create reusable features, metrics, benchmarks, and scoring signals for use across AI agents and product workflows.</li></ul></div><div>
Work as part of AI Labs to design AI-driven experiences 
<ul><li>Translate product requirements into concrete data science and ML problem statements.</li><li>Prototype models and analytical frameworks that support use cases such as:</li><li>Work closely with product, engineering, and design to turn prototypes into user-facing features.</li></ul></div><div>
Own the end-to-end data science pipeline 
<ul><li>Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model experimentation on large, noisy datasets.</li><li>Define and implement data quality profiling and monitoring to ensure trustworthy insights.</li><li>Build scalable frameworks and reusable components (feature libraries, scoring functions, benchmarks) that other teams can leverage.</li><li>Collaborate with AI engineers to productionize models and insights with appropriate monitoring and retraining strategies.</li></ul></div><div>
Make data usable and understandable in the application 
<ul><li>Design interpretable, product-ready outputs such as scorecards, benchmarks, behavioral signals, pattern summaries, and risk indicators.</li><li>Work with the Head of AI Labs and the AI architect ensure outputs can be surfaced in a way that makes sense to admins, comp analysts, finance leaders, and sellers.</li><li>Provide clear documentation that explains how scores and insights are calculated, and what actions customers should take.</li><li>Work autonomously with minimal direction and be comfortable setting your own plan and milestones.</li><li>Drive clarity in ambiguous areas by proposing approaches, framing trade-offs, and suggesting MVP paths.</li><li>Influence long-term data science strategy and help define the profile of future hires as we scale the AI Labs data team.</li></ul></div>
What You Bring<ul><li>5&ndash;7+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science, applied ML, or advanced analytics.</li><li>Proven ability to independently define problems, choose appropriate methods, and deliver measurable business impact.</li><li>Strong experience with exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and statistical modeling.</li><li>Proficiency in SQL and Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn; PySpark or similar is a plus).</li><li>Experience working with large historical datasets; exposure to time-series, forecasting, or behavioral modeling is preferred.</li><li>Experience building interpretable scoring systems, risk models, or insights frameworks that are used by non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Strong communication skills: able to explain complex analysis in simple terms for product, engineering, and business stakeholders.</li><li>Comfort operating as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with minimal supervision.</li><li>Experience in incentive compensation, HR analytics, sales analytics, or financial data is a plus but not required.</li></ul>
