Position Summary 
Design and perform quantitative analysis to price wholesale energy commodity transactions and quantify and hedge risk. Plan and optimize seasonal, monthly, balance-of-month, and daily resource commitment schedules and portfolio positions to provide the most economic operations of the power system portfolios. Perform post-analysis of actual dispatch and system operations for each of the Xcel Energy power system portfolios to determine opportunities for efficiency improvements. Submit XE's bids and offers into organized markets, which requires the employee to be classified as Wholesale Merchant Function. 
 
Essential Responsibilities<ul><li>
Design and perform quantitative studies of historical and forecasted prices, system loads, fuel costs, and determination of the natural position of XE's power system portfolios. Support trading and risk management activities through quantifying the natural position of each XE regulated operating company. Troubleshoot daily operation of XE's regulated electric operating companies and provide technical support to real-time traders during daily operation of the systems. Assist Fuels in the determination of forward fuel requirements and the daily gas nomination process.</li><li>
Identify opportunities to improve system operations. Design and create analytical studies to model opportunities and determine costs/savings (e.g. rescheduling plant maintenance, alternative operating strategies for certain resources, etc.). Help plant operations personnel understand the market implications of plant operating decisions. Understand mechanical aspects of power plants and the potential optionality in the various power generation technologies. Understand electrical system constraints and operations.</li><li>
Create and run modeling scenarios to optimize daily unit commitment, additional purchases/sales, and long-term energy limited or constrained seasonal purchases. Verify accuracy of results through extensive post-analysis of XE system performance. Evaluate short-term load forecasts, current plant/contract availability, fuel costs, and market conditions. Determine quantities of energy to buy/sell, optimal scheduling of constrained resources, and optimal commitment decisions for plants/contractual resources. Bid load and offer generation into organized markets on behalf of the company.</li><li>
Design and perform post-analysis models of previous day system operation to determine opportunities for dispatch efficiency and purchase/sales improvements. Perform benchmarking of models as appropriate to assure analysis integrity. Verify accuracy of sales costing.</li><li>
Continuously seek improvements to processes and analyses used for purchasing/selling commodities, scheduling of contracted resources, and commitment/dispatch of XE generation assets.</li><li>
Perform pricing and costing of Real-Time Pricing Program sales and wholesale sales.</li><li>
Analyze and forecast future market prices at various trading points. Research energy market trends and energy optimization techniques/tools to support trading contributors. Stay abreast of regulatory requirements. Recommend trading strategies based on technical market analysis.</li></ul> 
Minimum Requirements<ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, engineering, applied sciences, or related fields.</li><li>
Minimum 4 years' experience in operating mathematical models, data mining, and analytics. Prefer previous work experience in electricity industry, including one year in energy commodity trading operations and knowledge of power plant operations.</li><li>
Preference given to individuals with at least 1 year experience with generation cost modeling software such as Plexos, Aurora, Prosym, Promod, or Gentrader.</li></ul>

Position Summary
This role serves as the Product Manager for the Xcel Vision Suite (XVS), Xcel Energy&rsquo;s integrated planning platform that connects shared data, orchestration, and tools to enable coordinated planning across generation, transmission, distribution, and gas.
The Senior Product Manager is responsible for owning product direction and requirements across this multi-domain planning ecosystem, with a strong focus on understanding utility planning workflows, extracting requirements from subject-matter experts, and shaping them into coherent, prioritized product capabilities. The role partners closely with planning organizations, Data Science &amp; Modeling Innovation, Data &amp; Applications Engineering, and external consulting partners to guide delivery and ensure XVS evolves as a cohesive, high-value product portfolio. Much of this work is data‑centric, and the role requires comfort working at the intersection of planning workflows, data products, and analytics‑driven applications.
This role is well suited for someone who understands regulated utility planning and modeling workflows, can navigate ambiguity across domains, and can translate complex modeling and planning needs into clear, actionable product scope. 
Essential Responsibilities<ul><li>
Relationship Management: Partner with business areas, customers and other stakeholders to understand needs and opportunities. Establish and maintain collaborative partnership with internal partners. Provide coaching and work direction to less experienced team members.</li><li>
Solution Delivery: Lead efforts in end-to-end solution lifecycle from strategic planning, through demand management, delivery lifecycle activities, and operation. Ensure solutions drive great user experience and operational performance. Drive speed to deployments and continuous delivery to meet changing customer and stakeholder needs.</li><li>
Strategy &amp; Planning: Lead efforts to understand operational health, customer satisfaction, and total cost of operation and build awareness of opportunities and risks. Represent business partners/stakeholders in strategic planning and investment prioritization.</li><li>
Operations Management: Drive alignment with stakeholders on maintenance activities and schedules. Ensure delivery practices uphold continuous integration of operational functions. Provide escalated support as needed to drive restoration of service disruptions.</li><li>
Subject Matter Expertise: Stay abreast of industry and technology trends to continuously improve solution delivery practices and customer satisfaction.</li></ul> 
Minimum Requirements<ul><li>
Ten years of related functional experience.</li><li>
Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, Business or related field, or 4 years of experience equivalent to the position.</li><li>
Excellent communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill set, and able to translate between technical and non-technical concepts.</li><li>
Excellent Relationship Management and collaboration skills, with a track record of working as one team cross-organizationally to drive innovation and business results.</li><li>

Preferred Requirements<ul><li>
Experience working in utility planning, utility modeling, or utility planning technology, with exposure to one or more planning domains such as generation, transmission, distribution, or gas in a regulated environment.</li><li>
Familiarity with utility planning and modeling ecosystems (e.g., capacity expansion, production cost, load forecasting, network or infrastructure planning tools such as EnCompass, PROMOD, PSS&reg;E, Synergi Gas, CYME, or similar) and how these tools fit into real planning workflows.</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to elicit, synthesize, and reconcile requirements from diverse subject‑matter experts, translating planning concepts, modeling assumptions, and workflows into clear product requirements (problem statements, MVP scope, acceptance criteria, and success metrics).</li><li>
Experience defining and managing MVPs and product roadmaps for complex, technical products, including data platforms, analytics/modeling capabilities, and analytics‑driven or user‑facing applications (experience with Databricks or similar platforms is a plus).</li><li>
Experience evaluating vendor tools and market offerings and working with consulting or system integration teams, including scope definition, acceptance criteria, and handoff expectations.</li></ul>

Position Summary 
 
Standard Operations Position. Perform a wide range of field work support activities, including the processing of completed work orders. Perform administrative support functions such as data entry, time reporting reconciliation, expense reporting, customer service, and general office management. Ensure a high level of accuracy within all operating systems to support data integrity and process adherence. 
 
Essential Responsibilities<ul><li>
Field Work Support: Receive and complete job closeout of all work packets within various systems. Assess and monitor requirements for job closure. Analyze reports to verify labor and equipment charged to each work, job, trouble and miscellaneous order.</li><li>
Time and Expense Reporting: Understand procedures and rules associated with time and expense reporting for union/non-union employees. Conduct periodic reviews of time reports and expenses to ensure report integrity and accuracy. Maintain proficiency in required timekeeping systems.</li><li>
Office Management and Customer Service Support: Coordinate and initiate individual and group meetings as well as travel arrangements for the field operations department. Arrange schedules for management staff. Order office supplies and maintain equipment as needed. Greet and direct customers and answer phones. Serve as primary on-site contact for contractors and vendors where appropriate.</li><li>
Data Entry and Maintenance: Perform data entry and copying of drawings and forms. Assist as needed with record and document management functions including filing, record retention, and archiving and storing documentation associated with work orders once closed. Support KPI tracking and reporting.</li><li>
Compliance Auditing: Assist with audits as well as Finance, Engineering and Field Operations activities related to compliance with internal business rules as well as state and regulatory requirements. Produce required compliance reports.</li><li>
Safety Support: Assist in the tracking of safety training completion. Ensure safety verifications on equipment is complete. Order and manage safety equipment and supplies. Organize block training events, safety celebrations and meetings.</li><li>
Emergency Assistance: Provide assistance during emergency operations.</li></ul> 
Minimum Requirements<ul><li>
High School diploma or GED and 3 years field related experience OR an Associate or Bachelor's Degree with 1 year of relevant experience in construction, office management, administrative support, project management/coordination, or customer service.</li><li>
Utility experience preferred.</li><li>
Requires a broad knowledge of department operations and policies.</li><li>
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and work management database applications</li></ul>
