ONLY THOSE WHO MEET THE QUALIFICATIONS WILL BE CONSIDERED.We are looking for candidates with exceptional interpersonal skills for the position of HR Coordinator. This position is responsible for collecting and analyzing employee data, organizing and updating employee files, employee relations and overseeing employee orientation and training, among other duties.Moreover, the right candidate will need to have extensive knowledge of employment law and adhere to company and industry regulations at all times.Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Provides expertise on a broad and comprehensive range of human resources activities, including recruitment, compensation, performance management, talent development, employment transactions, policy compliance, and other related HR functional areas.</li><li>Serves as a first point-of-contact for departments regarding HR concerns, needs and issues; evaluates situations, navigates and directs employees to the various resources available;</li><li>Provides advice to management regarding adherence to applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as policies and procedures; identifies innovative solutions and options to address complex human resource management issues.</li><li>Assists departments, as needed, in identifying opportunities to enhance departmental operations, policies, and procedures.</li><li>Approves personnel actions, including performance improvement documentation, contemplated and final action documentation, compensation and classification changes, personnel transactions, and other related HR transactions.</li><li>Conducts general needs analyses and provides recommendations to management regarding opportunities for improvement; develops and delivers routine training, as needed.</li><li>Process payroll for all employees and monitor employee timecards</li><li>Maintains knowledge of policies, processes and resources, as well as applicable federal, state, and local laws.</li><li>Managing employee complaints.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:<ul><li>ADP Total Source experience preferred</li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.</li><li>Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.</li><li>Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, and public sector employment policies and procedures.</li><li>Knowledge of HR guidelines, principles and procedures.</li><li>Ability to analyze complex data, define and solve problems.</li><li>Strong critical thinking skills; ability to synthesize and interpret complex issues and to create integrated solutions and recommendations.</li><li>Ability to perform research and prepare reports and summaries based on research data.</li><li>Knowledge of human resources administration principles and practices.</li><li>Knowledge of compensation administration principles and procedures.</li><li>Knowledge of equal opportunity and affirmative action requirements as related to public sector human resources procedures.</li><li>Knowledge of public sector recruitment procedures, and automated applicant tracking systems and processes.</li><li>Knowledge of FMLA and leave policies, procedures, and practices.</li><li>Knowledge of ADA, FLSA, and other employment legislation and regulations.</li><li>Knowledge of staff employee benefits laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and documentation.</li><li>Knowledge of labor relations principles and collective bargaining agreements.</li><li>Broad knowledge and understanding of HR transactions and procedures to enable review of accuracy and completeness of documents submitted.</li></ul>Physical Requirements:<ul><li>Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.</li><li>Driving to multiple sites (Culver City and Chatsworth)</li></ul>Job Type: Part-timePay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hourWork Location: In person
