<div>Graphic Design Instructor/Specialist (Laplace, Gonzales, Vacherie, Lutcher)
perXuade, a division of the XP Synergy, is currently seeking a Graphic Designer with professional and/or academic experience, or the desire to expand within the space of inspiring the future generation of creatives. You will be responsible for aiding high students to go beyond learning graphics arts and strive towards serving as part of an in-school agency. Students will have access to Adobe Creative Suite on iPad, so adapting your knowledge is a must. You will be expected to dedicate your workday toward classroom instruction and related duties for the school system we are contracted to work within, in-person, Monday through Friday (includes a planning/lunch period).
Instruction Duties: This position requires organization, so you must stay on task and have a plan on how to execute each lesson. Daily duties also include written check-ins, attendance taking, grading, etc. This position is ideal for EXPERIENCED creative industry professionals that wish to take their skills to lead the next generation of developers.
Graphic Design Duties: If you are given the opportunity to pursue full-time employment, your non-educational roles will focus on being one of our designers. You must be capable of producing designs as simple as flyers and posters, all the way to newsletters and desktop publishing.

perXuade is a marketing and communications agency, Project CREATE being our educational department. We proudly serve St James Parish School System, empowering their students to pursue careers in creative digital media arts. On top of teaching students, we take a role in supporting the school in print, video, coding, and student work-based related projects. Allowing us to be maximized as valuable partners.
We have internal and external clients, producing creative services ranging from Website Development, Graphic Design, Video Production, Content Development, Public Relations, Photography, Outreach, Traditional Marketing, and Social Media Marketing.<ul><li>
Must be available from 7am to 4pm (does not include driving time to school or office)</li><li>
Must have 2 or more years of experience in Graphic Design or Graphic Arts</li><li>
Be authorized to work in the United States. Background check required.</li><li>
Must have reliable transportation to St James High School</li><li>
Experience teaching or working with students in middle/high school is a plus</li><li>
Effective management of multiple, concurrent projects against aggressive timelines without compromising accuracy or quality</li><li>
Great interpersonal skills and a do-whatever-it-takes attitude and general spirit of teamwork</li></ul>
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in communications, marketing, art, design, or a related discipline</li><li>
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom)</li><li>
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and One Drive (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)</li><li>
Adobe Certification is a plus</li></ul>
EMPLOYMENT OPTIONS<ul><li>
Contractor&ndash; $3500/month or $1000/month/class(non-taxed)</li></ul><ul><li>
3-month contract to June 2026, about6-hours of instructor/day</li><li>
Contract fulfillment contingent to all aspects of school instruction and required deliverables</li><li>
All school days off</li><li>
Based upon performance, position can transition to permanent contractor forentire2026-27school year.</li></ul>

Must be able to deal with situations with students effectively and calmly (disruptions, arguments, etc.)</li><li>
Interact and instruct students from different backgrounds, attitudes, and special needs.</li><li>
During projects must effectively provide input and help to multiple students over the course of the class</li><li>
Interact and work with School Personnel such as Principals, Administrators, and other teachers</li><li>
Guide and support students on execution and delivery of any print projects requested by SJPS (school app development)</li><li>
Utilize required school programs and systems for grading, attendance, and discipline</li><li>
Effectively grade and evaluate each individual student on their own performance, growth, and abilities by required deadlines (progress reports)</li><li>
Be Open to Off-Topic Conversations at proper times for discussion and building a rapport with students</li><li>
Utilize Google Classroom Suite and Email to distribute assignments and communicate with students</li></ul></div>
