Xylem is a global water technology company focused on solving some of the world&rsquo;s most important water challenges. We&rsquo;re looking for a curious, self-starting, Mechanical Design Engineer to be a member of our Product Development team that designs and supports mechanical parts and assemblies used in gas metering and communication systems.
In this role, you&rsquo;ll contribute to new product development from early concepts through production launch, and then support the products once they are in the field. You&rsquo;ll work with a cross-functional team to develop rugged, high-volume electromechanical products for outdoor use.
This is a great opportunity for an engineer who enjoys hands-on product development, collaborative problem solving, and seeing designs move into production.
You will help:<ul><li>
Design mechanical components, assemblies, interfaces, adapters, and environmental packaging for rugged outdoor electromechanical products.</li></ul><ul><li>
Create and maintain drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.</li><li>
Use engineering tools such as 3D CAD, tolerance analysis, and FEA to support design decisions.</li><li>
Participate in product design reviews and improve designs based on team feedback.</li><li>
Work closely with electrical, software, firmware, systems, manufacturing, product management, quality, testing, and supply chain teams.</li><li>
Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and regulatory activities.</li><li>
Assist with troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of product or manufacturing issues.</li><li>
Support transition to manufacturing, including tooling reviews and design-for-manufacturing considerations.</li><li>
Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to support product development and production needs.</li></ul>
Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.</li><li>
Minimum 3 years of experience in new product development or mechanical engineering.</li><li>
Experience with 3D CAD modeling software and product data management tools.</li><li>
Experience with product testing, validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.</li><li>
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well across teams.</li><li>
Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office tools.</li></ul>
We would especially like to hear from candidates with experience in any of the following:<ul><li>
Designing products for rugged environmental, metering, sensor-based, or similar high-volume electromechanical applications.</li><li>
Manufacturing methods such as injection molding, casting, machining, stampings, or powdered metal.</li><li>
Design for automated assembly and manufacturing processes.</li><li>
Creo (Pro/ENGINEER) and Windchill.</li><li>
Finite element analysis (FEA).</li><li>
Design or fabrication of test fixtures and equipment.</li><li>
Industry or regulatory standards such as ANSI, AWWA, UL, or Intrinsic Safety requirements.</li></ul>

Mechanical Design Engineer

Xylem is hiring a Sales Manager (Rental Division) to support the legacy Godwin brand and lead rental sales performance across the Western U.S. territory. In this role, you will manage and develop a team of 10&ndash;12 sales representatives responsible for growing demand for Godwin pumps, bypass systems, and dewatering solutions across municipal, industrial, construction, and emergency response markets.
This is a frontline sales leadership role for a leader who can coach teams to performance, drive territory strategy execution, strengthen pipeline and forecast discipline, and build strong cross-functional partnerships. You will play a key role in talent development, regional growth, executive customer relationships, and overall team accountability.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Lead, coach, and develop a team of 10&ndash;12 sales representatives across the Western U.S.</li><li>
Drive team performance against revenue goals, pipeline expectations, KPI targets, and strategic priorities</li><li>
Establish strong sales cadence through one-on-ones, funnel reviews, forecast reviews, and team performance discussions</li><li>
Support hiring, onboarding, and development of sales talent</li><li>
Lead regional sales strategy and territory planning to grow rental revenue</li><li>
Expand business for Godwin pumps, bypass systems, and dewatering solutions</li><li>
Guide account prioritization, market expansion, and execution across key target segments</li><li>
Build and maintain relationships with strategic customers, partners, and key decision-makers</li><li>
Partner with operations, service, marketing, finance, and other internal teams to deliver a strong customer experience and successful rental execution</li><li>
Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline visibility, and CRM discipline through tools such as Salesforce</li><li>
Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to refine sales plans and improve performance</li><li>
Stay current on product knowledge, industry trends, and application needs in target markets</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience</li><li>
5+ years of sales experience</li><li>
2+ years of experience leading sales teams</li><li>
Strong communication, coaching, negotiation, and relationship-building skills</li><li>
Experience developing and executing regional or territory sales plans</li><li>
Experience managing pipeline, forecasting, performance metrics, and sales cadence</li><li>
Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM systems</li><li>
Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead effectively in a field-based environment</li></ul>
Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>
Experience leading teams in rental sales, pump rental, dewatering, industrial equipment, or heavy equipment rental</li><li>
Experience supporting customers in municipal, industrial, construction, or emergency response markets</li><li>
Familiarity with bypass pumping applications and solution-based selling</li></ul>
Travel<ul><li>
Up to 70% travel throughout the Western U.S.</li></ul>
Salary
The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000 to $160,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.  The Role
 
 
 
 The Quality Technician supports the quality needs of the Spring Valley operations while carrying out both local and corporate responsibilities. This role partners closely with the Quality Manager to advance business objectives and collaborates with the broader team to ensure all quality-related requirements are met.
 
 
 
 Core Responsibilities

 Support the Shop Floor with any Quality related requests.
 </li>
 <li>
 Lead root cause analysis and drive the implementation of mistake proofing to eliminate and preventative actions
 </li>
 <li>
 Complete a &ldquo;5-Why&rdquo; for any &ldquo;Repeat&rdquo; or &ldquo;Escape&rdquo; non-conformance.
 </li>
 <li>
 File and maintain Quality documentation as units are produced.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide maintained Quality documentation upon request.
 </li>
 <li>
 Analyze existing operations and propose cost justified improvements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Create Certificates of Conformance when needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Make requested changes to ISO documentation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support ISO 9001 audit preparation and other various audit preparations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Implement any relevant Quality checks and measures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Mark and tag defective hardware as necessary.
 </li>
 <li>
 Create customer Quality documentation binders when required.

 Qualifications

 High School Diploma or equivalent

 BS Degree in Quality or Engineering preferred

 3+ years of manufacturing experience in quality assurance or similar role

 Ability to read and comprehend blueprints with GD&amp;T

 <li>
 ISO 9001 or equivalent experience preferred
 </li>
 <li>
 Certifications an advantage including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
 </li>

 Quality inspection and auditing experience preferred

 Ability to create/revise Quality documentation to ISO 9001 standards preferred
