XYZ has grown to over 100 staff across the UK, US &amp; Europe and is working with Mission Critical organisations &amp; construction companies to successfully deliver major projects.
THE ROLE 
We are seeking a highly meticulous AI-Native Automation QA Engineer with a strong eye for detail, who is committed to find even the smallest issues and to design and maintain automation frameworks whilst leveraging AI-powered tools. The candidate will also need to perform exploratory testing when required in order to fully understand our platforms and new features, so to accelerate edge test cases creation. The QA Team is the final line before content release, and as such is motivated to maintain high standards and guarantee our customer uses high-quality software.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li> 
Develop and maintain automation scripts, leveraging AI tools to accelerate and improve.</li><li>Contribute to building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using AI agents.</li><li>Identify bugs, report and regress them once they are claimed fixed.</li><li>Execute sanity and regression tests to verify system stability across environments.</li><li>Perform exploratory testing to fully understand new features and find edge test cases.</li></ul>
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li> 
Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Playwright or Selenium) for scripting and executing repeatable test suites.</li><li>Experience with API and backend testing using tools such as Postman.</li><li>Scripting ability in JavaScript or similar languages, combined with a practical understanding of AI-assisted development workflows</li></ul>
KEY EXPERIENCE &amp; SKILLS<ul><li> 
Ability to work in a small team with hands on the different platforms.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail.</li><li>Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Knowledge of bug tracking and test execution progress tools (e.g. Jira and TestRail).</li><li>Knowledge about construction BIM standards is preferable.</li></ul>

THE ROLE 
XYZ Reality is developing the next generation of wearable technology for the construction industry &mdash; combining advanced sensing, localisation, computer vision, and augmented reality into products that are transforming how major projects are delivered.
We are looking for a talented Embedded Software Engineer to join our Hardware team and take a hands-on role in building the embedded software stack that powers these platforms. You'll work closely with Hardware, Mechanical Engineering, Navigation Algorithms, and Production teams &mdash; developing Linux drivers, sensor integrations, and hardware interfaces for wearable systems operating in demanding industrial environments.
This is a role for someone with a practical engineering mindset who takes ownership, thrives in a multidisciplinary environment, and wants to see their work go from prototype all the way through to production deployment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li> 
Develop embedded software and firmware for wearable computing platforms &mdash; including Linux kernel modifications, board support packages, and device drivers &mdash; with a focus on NVIDIA Jetson and other embedded compute platforms.</li><li>Build drivers and interfaces for cameras, IMUs, GNSS receivers, LiDAR, ToF sensors, displays, and communication peripherals (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet) &mdash; supporting hardware bring-up, debugging, and system integration.</li><li>Support integration of embedded AI, localisation, perception, and sensor processing systems &mdash; working closely with the Navigation Algorithms team to ensure hardware and software work seamlessly together.</li><li>Develop production software, manufacturing test tools, factory calibration systems, and automated validation tooling &mdash; supporting the transition of products from development into full-scale manufacturing.</li><li>Participate in architecture reviews, design reviews, and technical planning &mdash; contributing maintainable, well-tested, production-quality software and clear engineering documentation throughout.</li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with Hardware, Mechanical Engineering, Production, R&amp;D teams, and external suppliers &mdash; supporting prototype builds, technical investigations, and validation activities.</li></ul>
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li> 
Degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, with 3+ years of embedded software or firmware development experience.</li><li>Strong C and C++ programming skills, with proven experience developing Linux kernel components, board support packages, or device drivers, and integrating hardware peripherals and sensors.</li><li>Solid understanding of embedded system architectures, microcontrollers, hardware interfaces, and multi-threaded software development across communication protocols including SPI, I2C, UART, USB, and Ethernet.</li><li>Practical, hands-on engineering mindset &mdash; comfortable taking ownership of technical challenges, working independently across a multidisciplinary team, and seeing development through from prototype to production.</li></ul>
