PRESCOTT JUDGE PRO TEMPORE</b></p><p>
The Superior Court of Arizona in and for the County of Yavapai is accepting applications for a Judge Pro Tempore. This position is located in Prescott, unless otherwise ordered by the Presiding Judge. The salary is $190,000/year.</p></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Major Duties, Responsibilities</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><p>The Judge Pro Tempore shall perform duties pursuant to ARS &sect;12-144(D) and serve as assigned by the Presiding Judge. Duties are subject to change. While this position is primarily located in Prescott, travel between Prescott and Camp Verde may be required.</p></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><p>Must meet the requirements of A.R.S. &sect;12-142 and Article VI, Section 22, of the Constitution of the State of Arizona.</p></div><p></p>
<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>Other Skills</b></h2></div>
<p></p><div><p>The Judge Pro Tempore will be appointed by the Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court upon the request of the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court and subject to the approval of the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, in accordance with Article VI, Section 31, of the Constitution of the State of Arizona, and A.R.S. &sect;12-141. The Judge Pro Tempore to assignment is in the Prescott Judicial District at the Superior Court in downtown Prescott. The position is paid by 62% County funds and 38% grant funds through June 30, 2026, and continuation is subject to funding availability.</p><p>
Compensation is $190,000/year, pursuant to A.R.S. &sect;12-142(C). Benefits include the Arizona State Retirement System, paid holidays, Yavapai County health insurance, Annual Leave, and Sick Leave. This is an at-will position not covered by the County merit system.</p><p>
