As a non-profit organization committed to strengthening our community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, YMCA of Centre County offers more than just a job: we offer you a career with a future and the chance to make a lasting difference.YMCA of Centre County&rsquo;s Moshannon Valley Branch is currently accepting applications for a full-time Preschool Teacher to be responsible for the safety and well-being of the children enrolled in our programs as well as providing an environment rich in activities and experiences to promote the development of each child.Primary Responsibilities<ul><li>Maintain knowledge and understanding of PA Department of Public Welfare (DPW) regulations.</li><li>Supervise all children and be physically present with the group of children in your care.</li><li>When engaging children in activities, consider the needs of individual children with concern for their interests, special talents, individual style, and pace of learning.</li><li>Assist with the development and implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and camp programming.</li><li>Interact and participate in games, activities, and special programs (including outdoor activities/swimming) with children in a positive and enthusiastic manner.</li><li>Assist in daily communication with parents.</li><li>Utilize positive disciplinary methods including, but not limited to, redirection, positive reinforcement, proactive guidance, and if needed, appropriate time outs.</li><li>Assist with the completion of any necessary administrative paperwork (i.e. meal counts, attendance, incident reports, supply requests, etc.)</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>A bachelor&rsquo;s degree in early education</li><li>A minimum of 5 years of professional experience working with children</li></ul>Salary/Benefits<ul><li>$14 - $15.50 per hour</li><li>403(b) retirement program.</li><li>Generous employee discounts on YMCA programs.</li><li>FREE YMCA membership with access to all 4 YMCA of Centre County facilities.</li><li>Employer paid group health insurance.</li><li>Generous paid time-off package and paid holidays.</li></ul>Applications, inquiries, and resumes should be directed to Cindy Johnston at cjohnston@ymcaocc.org.The Y is a great place to work, gain experience in your field of interest, meet new friends, and strengthen your community.
