<div>Position Summary
The Demakes Family YMCA is seeking experienced, dependable, and energetic to join our team as a Cafe Attendant &amp; Server. This position is responsible for preparing and serving food and beverages while providing outstanding customer service in a safe, welcoming, and community-focused environment. Staff must have prior food service experience and uphold high food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities<ul><li>
Greet and serve guests in a friendly and professional manner</li><li>
Prepare coffee, beverages, and light caf&eacute; items according to established guidelines</li><li>
Operate POS system and handle cash transactions accurately</li><li>
Review caf&eacute; inventory and report caf&eacute; needs</li><li>
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of caf&eacute;, kitchen, and service areas</li><li>
Monitor proper food storage and temperature controls</li><li>
Follow all local and state health department regulations</li><li>
Complete opening and closing duties as assigned</li><li>
Support the YMCA mission by promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere</li></ul>
Required Qualifications<ul><li>
Minimum 1&ndash;2 years of food service experience (restaurant, caf&eacute;, catering, or similar)</li><li>
Valid ServSafe Certification (required)</li><li>
Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards</li><li>
Excellent customer service and communication skills</li><li>
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented</li></ul>
