<div>Are you a Java Software Development Engineer looking for your next move? We have an exciting opportunity for a Java Developer to join our development team within our Savings and Payments Engineering Domain, in IT &amp; Transformation.

This is a hybrid role, with remote working plus some onsite presence in our Leeds &amp; Bradford offices will be required on an adhoc basis.
The role will also require the holder to be part of an on-call support rota. 
About the role 
As an Engineer with strong Java experience, you will be responsible for building, deploying and maintaining Java Spring boot services and API&rsquo;s to support the delivery of new Payment services. You will influence the design and approach for the solution, supporting and guiding other Developers, setting standards, and embedding good development practices. You will -<ul><li>
Develop API&rsquo;s and Java Spring Boot Microservices that will underpin our Digital Payments Services</li><li>
Perform impact analysis and estimation on requirements and designs</li><li>
Ensure that system design meets the standard for architecture, scalability, performance, security and maintainability</li><li>
Participate and lead peer reviews of documentation, code, unit and integration testing</li><li>
Collaborate with Architects, Designers, Product Owners and other Software Engineers</li><li>
Support the implementation of automated build pipelines and monitoring capabilities</li></ul> 
About you 
You&rsquo;ll have hands-on experience of Java and Spring boot microservices development. In addition, you&rsquo;ll be able to demonstrate -
<ul><li>Strong knowledge of technologies and platforms used within modern payments applications including:<ul><li>
Restful Design, working with API Gateway management products (Apigee)</li><li>
Containers and Container Orchestration Openshift, Docker, Kubernetes</li><li>
Continuous Integration Pipelines - Gitlab, Jenkins</li></ul></li><li>
Experience operating in an Agile delivery methodology</li></ul>

Software Development Engineer (Java) - Savings & Payments

About the role 
As Software Development Engineer, you&rsquo;ll design, develop, document, and create test automation of software and configuration that delivers value to YBS customers. You will -<ul><li>
Build and enhance solutions across Dynamics 365 and Power Platform</li><li>
Develop and support RPA solutions, helping scale automation across the business</li><li>
Design and build agents/flows using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate and Power Apps</li><li>
Implement CI/CD pipelines and monitoring using Azure DevOps</li><li>
Contribute to high-quality engineering through code reviews, testing, and documentation</li><li>
Collaborate with architects, product owners, and analysts to shape solutions and delivery plans</li><li>
Ensure solutions align with current and future architecture standards</li><li>
Be part of an on-call team that supports YBS&rsquo;s services out of hours</li></ul> 
About you 
You&rsquo;ll have hands-on experience of code development in Dynamics 365, Power Platform and RPA tooling. This will include -
<ul><li>Developing technical solutions in Dynamics 365 and Power Platform to transform member journeys and drive operational efficiency at scale</li><li>
Building, evolving and supporting YBS&rsquo;s RPA capability, embedding automation into core processes to improve service, reduce cost, and increase organisational effectiveness</li><li>
Experience in building agents/ flows within, and deployable through, the Microsoft products</li><li>
Strong working knowledge of Copilot Studio</li><li>
Strong knowledge of modern technologies and platforms used within digital and cloud applications</li><li>
Understanding of Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar tooling for work management, CI/CD, and deployment</li><li>
Desirable skills include:</li></ul>
o Hands-on experience of Java and Spring Boot
o Exposure to developing and supporting AI agents in a Microsoft technology stack
o Exposure to API integrations (e.g. Azure API Gateway)
o Experience developing in Automation Anywhere RPA tool
