JOB SUMMARY:The Mechanical Designer will be working for a custom metal fabricating company which was founded in 1920.The ideal candidate must have a strong mechanical aptitude , attention to detail, and be very organized. Proficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Mechanical is a must with experience with Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks being a plus. You will be asked to create assembly and shop drawings of dust/fume collection systems, ductwork, bases, platforms, booths, structural parts, and specialty sheet metal parts.RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Create assembly drawings.</li><li>Create shop drawings for fabrication.</li><li>Create bill of materials.</li><li>Order parts and materials.</li><li>Field measure at customers facility (may require out of town travel with overnight stays).</li></ul>SKILLS &amp; QUALIFICATIONS:Required<ul><li>Proficient in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Mechanical.</li><li>High attention to detail.</li><li>Must be organized.</li><li>Strong communication skills.</li><li>Able to work with customers and team members via Teams meetings.</li><li>Collaborative team player with a commitment to quality and professionalism.</li><li>Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license from state of residence.</li></ul>&middot; Preferred<ul><li>Experience with Inventor or Solidworks.</li></ul>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE:&middot; RequiredAssociate's degree in mechanical engineering technology (MET) or related field.JOB SNAPSHOT Position Based: Cincinnati, OHPosition Type: Full Time, 1st Shift.Some overnight travel.Benefits: Company Health, Dental and Vision benefits, 401K, Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Life insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>People with a criminal record are encouraged to applyWork Location: In person
