The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both subjects and a proven track record of helping students improve their SAT scores. The instructor will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons, providing personalized feedback, and fostering a supportive learning environment.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Instruction: Teach SAT Math and English content, strategies, and test-taking skills to high school students.</li><li>Lesson Planning: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the needs of individual students.</li><li>Assessment: Evaluate students' progress through practice tests, quizzes, and assignments, providing constructive feedback.</li><li>Support: Offer personalized support and guidance to help students achieve their target scores.</li><li>Motivation: Inspire and motivate students to excel in their SAT preparation and academic endeavors.</li><li>Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and effective test preparation program.</li><li>Adaptability: Stay updated on changes to the SAT exam and adjust teaching methods accordingly.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, English, Education, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.</li><li>Experience: Experience teaching SAT Math and English. Classes are held afternoons, evenings, and weekends. All classes take place at our learning center in San Marino/Arcadia.Local candidates preferred.About our company: Young Scholars Institute offers individualized tutoring and college counseling for K-12th grade students. We provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in all subjects, including AP and Honors courses. We create customized tutoring plans for each student based on his or her unique learning profile.
