Your Therapy Billing

<div>Locally owned and operated medical billing company looking to add an additional Medical Billing Office Assistant to take on a variety of day-to-day medical billing-related office and clerical tasks. In this role, you are integral in ensuring that our office operations run smoothly and that our other business activities are supported successfully. 
Candidates must possess the ability to:

<li>Create logical, organized email communications.</li>
<li>Understand and follow written and verbal directions.</li>
<li>Perform clerical duties with speed and accuracy and without immediate and constant supervision.</li>
<li>Communicate professionally and effectively with all team members and clients.</li>
<li>Comfortable explaining patient balances and financial responsibility.</li>
<li>Prioritize and follow up on completion of tasks.</li>
<li>Maintain discretion and adhere to all confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines when dealing with highly confidential information.</li>
<li>Use considerable judgment to resolve problems and make recommendations.</li>
<li>Adapt to a demanding, fast-paced, constantly evolving environment while maintaining organization and high level of detail.</li>

Specific Job Requirements

In this position, your daily responsibilities include: 

<ul>
<li>Communicating with patients and clients by phone and email.</li>
<li>Explaning balance details and insurance coverage confidently and clearly to patients.</li>
<li>Creating invoices and processing customer payments. 
</li>
<li>Creating and updating records to ensure accuracy and validity of information.</li>
<li>Managing claims submissions for ad-hoc processes like worker's comp and local government assistance programs.</li>
<li>Sorting and distributing communications in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Handling multiple projects and tasks simultaneously&ndash;multitasking is a must! 
</li>
<li>Identifying and escalating opportunities for process improvements to the management team.</li>
<li>Assist Credentialing Associate in tasks.</li></ul> 


Required Job Qualifications

Work is performed with considerable independence in accordance with established regulations, policies, and procedures in a coordinated effort with Account managers. Candidates are required to have the following qualifications: 
<ul>
<li>
Strong communication skills, both verbally and written</li>
<li>Medical billing experience and previous experience working with an electronic medical system strongly preferred</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of explanation of benefits (EOBs), account reconciliation, claims review, and aged receivables follow-up with patients</li>
<li>Experience with commercial insurances, private carriers, HMOs, Medicaid, and Medicare</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent</li>
<li>Knowledge of Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Gmail</li>
<li>A Microsoft Windows PC with access to high-speed internet during office hours</li></ul> 


About the Job

Job Types: Full-time, W-2. M-F 9 AM - 5 PM - Remote

Salary: $18-21 hourly based on experience 
Upon conclusion of training, this position will require you to work between the hours of 9 am &amp; 5 pm EST.
