Overview We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As an Adventure Camp Counselor, you will lead groups of middle school students in adventure activities such as mountain biking, outdoor rock climbing, canoeing, paddleboarding, and belaying at our ropes course. You will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. Experience is preferred but not necessary. Training will be provided.Responsibilities<ul><li>Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during activities and free time.</li><li>Foster a positive camp environment by promoting teamwork, respect, and inclusivity.</li><li>Educate campers on various skills while encouraging personal development.</li><li>Manage camper behavior effectively using positive reinforcement strategies.</li><li>Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain a safe environment.</li><li>Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a cohesive camp experience.</li></ul>Experience Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experiences:<ul><li>Previous experience in babysitting or childcare settings.</li><li>Background in sports coaching or physical education.</li><li>Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred.</li><li>Experience working with students or children in an educational setting.</li><li>Skills in behavior management to effectively handle diverse camper needs.</li><li>Experience in tutoring or mentoring children is a plus.</li><li>A passion for outdoor activities.</li></ul>If you are ready to make a difference in the lives of young campers while enjoying a rewarding summer experience, we encourage you to apply for the Camp Counselor position!Job Types: Full-time, TemporaryPay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hourAbility to Commute:<ul><li>Stamford, CT 06902 (Required)</li></ul>Ability to Relocate:<ul><li>Stamford, CT 06902: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
