Youth Villages is a leader in behavioral health services for children, families, and young adults. As both a direct service organization and model purveyor, our evidence-based services are provided in 27 states and the District of Columbia. Founded in 1986, the agency has grown from two residential campuses to a nationwide organization that provides a continuum of care from intensive residential treatment to community-based programs. Intensive in-home services are the agency&rsquo;s largest program, reflecting the core value that children are best raised by their family. Transition-age youth services are growing fastest, as the agency tries to fill a gap in high-quality services for young adults in and exiting from state custody without adequate support.</div><div></div><div><br>
The agency&rsquo;s Research Department began in the early 1990&rsquo;s, shortly after the implementation of the agency&rsquo;s first electronic medical records system. Partnering with independent researchers since the founding of the department, one of the department&rsquo;s goals has always been to advance knowledge about effective services for children, families, and young adults and facilitate implementation of effective services nationwide.</div><p></p><div><b><br>
Position Summary</b></div><div>
This position will provide routine reporting and data quality management for the Reporting and Analytics division of the Research Department.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
Job Responsibilities</b></div><div></div><div><br>
Work directly with Youth Villages and partner data for:</div><ul><li>
Use SQL, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software packages to create/update reports on demographics, program participation, and outcomes for various internal and external customers.</li><li>
Compile and analyze data from electronic medical records and other databases, including Youth Villages direct services and partner data, in response to ad hoc requests by internal and external customers; create presentations based on customer&rsquo;s needs/requirements.</li><li>
Complete routine reports for both Youth Villages direct and partner data, on an established schedule. Establish new routine reports as needed.</li><li>
Complete descriptive analysis for projects as directed; work with Director of Evaluation on statistical analysis as needed.</li><li>
Working with the Assistant Director of Reporting &amp; Analytics, create and establish processes for data quality checks, including writing SQL scripts. Establish detailed instructions so that thoroughly vetted processes can be passed along to Quality Assurance Specialists as appropriate. Identify potential areas for future data quality checks.</li><li>
Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Reporting &amp; Analytics, develop and/or maintain analysis and reporting functions for program model reviews, as needed.</li><li>
Collaborate with other departments on their data needs and requests. Maintain relationships with key players, internally and externally. Communicate clearly and consistently around standard reporting processes.</li><li>
Manage multiple projects with shifting priorities; seek feedback/input from stakeholders on current priorities and pivot accordingly.</li><li>
Other duties may be assigned.</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
This position reports to the Assistant Director of Reporting &amp; Analytics.</p>
Qualifications:

Education Requirements</b></div><ul><li>
Master&rsquo;s degree in a social science, business, or related field strongly preferred</li><li>
In lieu of a master&rsquo;s in a related field, we will also consider applicants who have a bachelor&rsquo;s degree in a data-related field, a minimum of 1 year of post-degree experience working with social services data, and a minimum of 1 year of post-degree experience working with SQL.</li></ul><div></div><div><b><br>
Experience Requirements</b></div><ul><li>
One year experience working with data and/or research experience in social science or human services is required.
</li><li>Strong working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, and Word) is required.</li><li>
Experience in creating and modifying SQL queries and using statistical packages for data analysis is highly preferred.</li><li>
Knowledge of social science research methods and best practices is required.</li><li>
A minimum of one year experience working with data and/or research experience in social science or human services is required.</li><li>
