Program Overview:
Thrive is an in-home preventive program tailored for youth (ages 0 to 18) and families involved with the Department of Children Youth and Families (DCYF). Designed to intervene at the critical transition point of DCYF assessment closure, Thrive aims to divert youth and families from further DCYF involvement through family-based services that integrate evidence-based interventions, such as Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Focusing on systemic issues and engaging caregivers, this program provides trauma-informed care that builds resiliency in youth who often face increased risks due to Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). By addressing multiple drivers for behavior, Thrive promotes positive, long-term outcomes while reducing the likelihood of an out-of-home placement. With a holistic approach to treatment, Thrive helps families work through everyday challenges together.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Thrive Family Specialist:<ul><li>
Carries a caseload of 8 to 12 families</li><li>
Works with youth and families that have been involved with DCYF</li><li>
Holds family sessions with each family 1-2 times a week (scheduled at the convenience of the family)</li><li>
Provides treatment in each family's homes which may be located in an array of settings and communities</li><li>
Provides on-call crisis support to the youth and family (schedules vary by location)</li><li>
Attends 3 weekly meetings (individual, team, and clinical consultation) for professional development and quarterly booster training sessions to enhance clinical skills</li></ul><ul><li>
Completes accurate and timely documentation in an electronic medical record system (EMR)</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned</li></ul>

Position Overview: 
The Emergency Support Specialist receives all the calls for after-hours emergency or crisis situations for community-based programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Emergency Support Specialist:<ul><li>
Answers all emergent crisis calls from clients in community-based programs</li><li>
Manages the clinical needs of those calls by gathering thorough assessment information and de-escalating high-risk situations with clients and families</li><li>
Attempts to divert situations away from needing a face-to-face response</li><li>
Completes check-in calls with high-risk families</li><li>
Communicates information and coordinates between external and internal customers</li><li>
Communicates and dispatches staff responding to critical events</li><li>
Documents all calls and actions into Evolv (including contact notes and critical events)</li><li>
Reviews Evolv for youth and family information that might be helpful during a crisis call</li><li>
Maintains records and call logs</li><li>

Intercept&reg;, developed by Youth Villages, is an evidence-based intensive, in-home program that focuses on keeping families together by preventing out-of-home placements or facilitating reunification after such placements, including foster care, residential treatment facilities, hospitalization, or juvenile detention centers. It is one of the first programs to receive the well-supported designation from Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse developed in accordance with the Family First Prevention Services Act (FFPSA) having been shown to reduce out-of-home placements and accelerate permanency for children. 
 
This program serves youth from birth to age 18 who are facing serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma, such as abuse or neglect. Services are provided by highly trained Family Intervention Specialists directly in the family&rsquo;s home and community&ndash;Intercept&reg; is not an office-based program. 
 
Intercept provides intensive, strength-based support tailored to each family&rsquo;s unique needs, ultimately helping them achieve lasting change through evidence-based mental health interventions, along with the development of new parenting and communication skills.</div><div>

Mississippi Youth Programs Around the Clock (MYPAC) is a home- and community-based Medicaid program serving children and young people (ages 6 to 21) with significant behavioral and mental health needs. The program follows the High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) model&mdash;a collaborative, family-driven process that coordinates individualized care across multiple service systems.</div><div> 
MYPAC provides clinical, care coordination, and case management services as an alternative to residential treatment, focusing on intensive community support to keep children safely at home. MYPAC teams are available 24/7 for crisis intervention and ongoing support, offering in-home individual and family therapy, as well as medication management.</div><div> 
Rooted in the principles of &ldquo;Family Voice, Family Choice,&rdquo; this program ensures that services are youth-guided and family-driven. The HFW approach emphasizes a strength-based philosophy, bringing together community resources and natural supports to foster long-term success and stability for youth and families.</div><div>

Program Overview:
Youth Villages&rsquo; Treatment Foster Care program provides evidence-based, intensive in-home treatment for youth in foster care while supporting foster parents and advocating for the best interests of each youth. The program serves children and adolescents (ages 0 to18) who have experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect, and may have behavioral and mental health needs.
Our parent-centered treatment model promotes positive change across home, school, community, and peer environments &ndash; all while working diligently to achieve family reunification whenever possible or finding permanency through adoption. Foster families and youth receive comprehensive support through weekly in-person sessions and access to 24/7 on-call support from highly trained, trauma-informed Foster Care Specialists.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Foster Care Specialist:<ul><li>
Carries a caseload of 8 to 10 families</li></ul><ul><li>
Provides services to the entire family&mdash;not just the identified youth&mdash;to build trust and support treatment alignment</li><li>
Attends 3 weekly meetings (individual, team, and clinical consultation) for professional development to help enhance clinical skills</li><li>
Provides on-call crisis support to the youth and family (schedules vary by location)</li></ul><ul><li>
Completes accurate and timely documentation in an electronic medical record system (EMR)</li><li>
Performs other duties as assigned</li></ul>
Additional Information:
<ul><li>Schedule is flexible and non-traditional as it is based around the availability of youth and families served.</li><li>
Applicants must possess a current, valid driver&rsquo;s license, an automobile for work purposes, and proof of auto insurance.</li><li>
Community-based staff will be reimbursed for applicable mileage.</li></ul>
Salary:
$52,000 - $60,000 based on education and clinical license
Qualifications:<ul><li>
Master&rsquo;s degree in a social services discipline (required)<ul><li>
Degrees that can be considered include: social work, drug and alcohol education or counseling, psychology, criminal justice, guidance counseling, or marriage and family therapy (others subject to review)</li></ul></li><li>
Experience with the Foster Care System (preferred)</li><li>
Experience with counseling adolescents in a clinical setting (preferred)</li><li>

Program Overview:
Youth Villages&rsquo; Specialized Crisis Services (SCS) Program provides rapid, effective assessment and intervention for youth up to age 18 who are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, such as suicidal or homicidal thoughts, severe depression, physical aggression, psychosis, or acting in a destructive or uncontrollable manner. The program offers thorough, strength-based assessments and crisis management to ensure the safety of the youth and others involved. Families, community members, and providers can reach out for support regardless of whether the youth is currently receiving services from Youth Villages.
SCS staff work closely with the youth, their family, and key community partners to evaluate risk factors and develop an immediate plan for stabilization. Services are provided in the home or community to offer timely, accessible support during a crisis. In addition to crisis assessment, the program provides ongoing treatment and intervention to help maintain family stability until appropriate long-term services can be secured.

Provides mobile crisis response and thorough, strength-based assessment of youth and families during crises in their natural environments</li><li>
Utilizes crisis respite homes when appropriate</li><li>

Works well with others in a highly supervised atmosphere</li><li>
