A Japanese food manufacturer located in Santa Fe Springs, California is looking for the candidate who can work as a R&amp;D Assistant.&lt;Job Description&gt; &#12539;Understand the characteristics, functions, and pricing of raw materials, as well as our products and production methods, and identify customer requirements. &#12539;Create product samples based on recipes. &#12539;Input and manage various data. &#12539;Conduct development and improvement trials to meet customer needs. &#12539;Transport raw materials required by the development department from the in-plant warehouse or procure them externally. &#12539;Manage inventory of raw materials used within the department. &#12539;Perform other duties as instructed by supervisors, as needed (including lifting and moving raw materials weighing up to 50 pounds).&lt;Requirements&gt; &#12539;Bilingual in Japanese and English &#12539;No prior work experience required &#12539;Bachelor&rsquo;s degree (Food Science major preferred) &#12539;Strong mathematical skills (used for concentration and related calculations) &#12539;Strong interest in Japanese cuisine &#12539;Basic PC skills &#12539;Fundamental knowledge of product development in a food manufacturing environment, or strong willingness to learn &#12539;Ability to mix/formulate and cook &#12539;Strong communication skills with an emphasis on teamwork &#12539;Ability to lift and move items weighing up to approximately 50 lbs (handling raw materials)Employment Status&#65306;Full Time Position&#65306;R&amp;D Assistant Language&#65306;Japanese/English Working Hours&#65306;Mon &ndash; Fri 08:30 &ndash; 17:30&#12289;Overtime required Salary&#65306;$19&#65374;$23/hour&#65288;Nonexempt&#65289;&#65288;DOE&#65289; Benefit&#65306;Medical Dental, and vision insurance (100% provided) 401(k) Paid time off (per company policy)Job Type: Full-timePay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
