<div>Under the direction of the Supervisor Training - Hotel, the Training Specialist of Hotel Administration is responsible for the administration, coordination, and execution of training. Conducts new hire hands-on training for front line team members as well as other assigned training for all levels of team members. Ensures existing team members are up to date on guidelines, policies, procedures, Standard Operating Guidelines, work methods, and new product training. Trains all aspects of health and safety compliance, as well as high-level customer service to maintain Best-in-Class service and facility for all guests.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develops, coordinates, and conducts effective training programs to maintain or improve team member job skills using appropriate industry best practices for content delivery. Facilitates learning via classes, workshops, hands-on-coaching, and mentoring. Develops and delivers a best practice process for administering training including training room scheduling, facilities set-up and catering, manage and administer all materials for training classes, communications &ndash; invitations, pre-work, reminders, follow-up, class attendance processing, completion status and evaluations. Conducts on-the-job and classroom training on enterprise, departmental, functional, and job-specific policies/procedures. 
2. Maintains and updates individual and department training records and files. Tracks metrics regarding attendance, satisfaction, effectiveness, and use of training. 
3. Develops alternate training methods in the event that the expected improvements are not met. Identifies and evaluates external sources of training materials and courses. Stays current on all existing and new chemicals and their application techniques including SDS (Safety Data Sheets), new work techniques, department equipment and their recommended uses. 
4. Assists with new hire orientation for all new team members. This includes classroom training as well as follow-up to verify job proficiency and answer questions. 
5. Assists in the review and update of training manuals. Maintains ongoing development of general training instructions, checklists, and visual aids. Makes recommendations for improvements and/or changes to training materials, courses, etc. Helps ensure policy and procedure compliance with continuous training and refresher training of all team members. 
6. Follows-up with new team members regularly. Attends meetings and seminars to obtain information useful for training. 
7. Performs other duties as assigned to support the eﬃcient operation of the department.
 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university required.</li><li>
Minimum two (2) years of Casino or Hotel Hospitality required.</li><li>
Minimum two (2) years of training experience preferred.</li><li>
Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.</li></ul>
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)<ul><li>
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office required (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint).</li><li>
Ability to learn new systems, software, and applications.</li><li>
Must be able to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.</li><li>
Must possess excellent coaching and mentoring skills. Must be self-motivated, results oriented, friendly, and confident.</li><li>
Experience in training and developing employees to assist them in achieving full competency in the shortest amount of time.</li><li>
Experience in dealing with the public in an effective, courteous, and professional manner.</li><li>
Ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, high demand environment.</li></ul>
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS<ul><li>
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.</li><li>
Certification in training or learning performance such as Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) or Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD) is preferred.</li><li>
No Driving Responsibilities: Role does not require a driver&rsquo;s license or insurance.</li></ul>

Training Specialist - Hotel Administration

<div>Under the direction of the Sergeant, Department of Public Safety (DPS), Public Safety Officer II (PSO II) provides essential support to DPS. This role requires a comprehensive knowledge of the organization and expertise in public safety practices, along with an understanding of all DPS policies and procedures. PSO II is responsible for performing a broad range of duties while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. Additionally, the PSO II may undertake other assignments and responsibilities as designated by DPS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Protects the San Manuel Reservation and its vicinity, including the Yaamava&rsquo; Resort and Casino, this role involves ensuring the safety of Tribal members, assets, customers, team members, facilities, and operations. Responsibilities include inspecting premises for signs of illegal entry or activity, engaging with occupants and visitors to ensure everything is in order, and identifying potential times and locations for incidents or criminal activities. 
2. Facilitates and provides comprehensive training through DPS Field Training Program (FTP) guidelines to newly assigned officers transitioning from an academic setting to field training by providing guidance on complex situations and acting as a role model to PSO I. 
3. Assists in the development/delivery of training programs for DPS and other enterprise departments emphasizing leadership, customer service, corporate security, casino security operations, patrol operations, defensive tactics, CPR/first aid, officer safety, active shooter, vehicle operations, weapon use/qualifications and other necessary skills used by officers in classroom and field settings. 
4. Conducts thorough investigations of more complex criminal activities, prepares detailed reports and collaborates with allied law enforcement agencies as needed. 
5. Responds to and manages critical incidents, demonstrating advanced decision-making skills and the ability to effectively coordinate resources and personnel. 
6. Develops and implements enhanced security protocols and risk assessment strategies for tribal events, high-profile visitors, and sensitive locations. 
7. Serves as a liaison between DPS and other departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration. 
8. Participates in community outreach programs, building strong relationships with tribal members and promoting public safety awareness. 
9. Maintains proficiency with all assigned equipment, including firearms, less-lethal weapons, and technical systems, and trains others in their proper use. 
10. Performs other duties as assigned to support the eﬃcient operation of the department. 
 EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
List High School Diploma or GED is required.</li><li>
Associate&rsquo;s degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in related field is preferred.</li><li>
Minimum four (4) years of experience working Security is required.</li><li>
Must be at least 21 years of age.</li></ul>
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)<ul><li>
Excellent customer service skills and ability to handle complex public interactions.
</li><li>Advanced knowledge of security procedures and applicable State, Federal and Tribal laws, regulations, and ordinances; proficiency in interviewing and interrogation techniques; expertise in surveillance techniques; and a comprehensive understanding of laws governing search and seizure.
</li><li>Must demonstrate advanced ability to analyze situations critically and objectively, recording detailed information accurately and completely while providing service with exceptional skill, firmness, tact, and impartiality.
</li><li>Must excel in recalling and expressing complex information clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with the ability to brief senior management effectively.
</li><li>Must consistently demonstrate the ability to remain calm under highly stressful conditions, exercise advanced judgment, and make sound decisions during emergency situations.
</li><li>Must safely operate a motor vehicle and possess thorough knowledge of state and local motor vehicle laws, along with the capability to train others in safe driving practices.
</li><li>Must maintain exemplary grooming and appearance standards, serving as a role model for PSO-I in adherence to DPS policies on uniform appearance. Must properly maintain and utilize all issued personal protection equipment, including ballistic vests.
</li><li>Must consistently produce high-quality written documents, demonstrating advanced skills in spelling, grammar, punctuation, organization, and content.
</li><li>Must demonstrate the ability to assume leadership roles in incident command situations.
</li><li>Must exhibit the ability to train and develop PSOs, lead small teams, and assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures.
</li><li>Must demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professionalism and development and be willing to pursue additional certifications or specialized training as required by the department.
