Job Title: CATIA Automation EngineerLocation: Dearborn, MIHire type:-Full timePosition Overview:We are seeking a skilled CATIA V6 Automation Engineer to join our engineering team supporting Ford in Dearborn, MI. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in CATIA V6 customization, strong programming skills, and a solid background in the automotive domain. This role involves developing, automating, and optimizing CATIA V6 tools and processes to enhance design efficiency and quality.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Develop and customize CATIA V6 applications using CAA (Component Application Architecture) and EKL (Engineering Knowledge Language).</li><li>Design and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline design workflows and improve productivity.</li><li>Integrate CATIA V6 with other enterprise engineering tools and systems.</li><li>Support and troubleshoot CATIA V6 customization issues and provide solutions to design teams.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements and implement innovative CAD solutions.</li><li>Maintain and update documentation related to CATIA V6 customization and automation processes.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.</li><li>Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience using CATIA V6.</li><li>Strong proficiency in CAA and EKL for CATIA V6 customization.</li><li>Solid programming skills in C++ and VB (Visual Basic).</li><li>In-depth understanding of CATIA V6 part structure, including Geometrical Sets and Part Body.</li><li>Proven experience in the automotive industry or related design/manufacturing domains.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment.</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul><li>Experience with CATIA V5&ndash;V6 migration projects.</li><li>Familiarity with PLM systems such as ENOVIA V6.</li><li>Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, VBScript) for additional automation capabilities.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timeWork Location: In person
