The SW Design Assurance Team requires Engineering Skills in Embedded Systems, SW Platform and<br>
Operating Systems to assess design quality for the Embedded Systems Design Assessment. The design<br>
assurance team supports Zebra&rsquo;s promise of quality to our customers and is responsible for ensuring<br>
products meet specifications throughout program phases from SW components to final SW/FW product.<br>
This position works with a minimum level of supervision.</p><b><br>
Responsibilities:</b><div><br>
Perform an analysis of SW Design Assurance for Embedded System Technology products and provide<br>
feedback for all the key Quality Metrics and deliverables executed by the functional teams, including:<br>
<ul><li>Responsible for SW Quality assessment of Mobile Computing products, NPI Data Capture, Machine</li></ul>
Vision, Embedded Systems Platform and device solutions. Identify deviations from stated product<br>
goals, standards, and processes.<br>
<ul><li>Perform Software Quality Reviews, measure and monitor progress of programs under development.</li><li>Lead and conduct Product Release readiness reviews ensuring release criteria for software &amp; device</li></ul>
solutions are met and communicate all quality issues, risks, requirements gap prior to product<br>
approval.<br>
<ul><li>Recommend latest technologies and new approaches to design and implementation of new technology</li><li>Should have strong knowledge of cause-and-effect relation between SW defects and potential</li></ul>
customer impact use cases.<br>
<ul><li>Enabling strong customer advocacy support, specifically in Android, Windows, Data Capture and</li></ul>
Machine Vision Technologies<br>
<ul><li>Audit Alpha/Beta/Pilot/POC SW in customer environment when needed and execute critical customer</li></ul>
use cases.<br>
<ul><li>Knowledge of the SDLC, testing concepts, methodologies, metrics, automated SW testing frameworks</li><li>Experience in delivery and manage multi release projects in AGILE (Scrum, Scaled Agile) and</li></ul>
knowledge of SW tools like JIRA, Confluence, Automation and GenAI.<br>
<ul><li>Guidance of the process, test methodologies, test strategy used in production of Zebra's NPI SW</li></ul>
products and solutions including Software Stability, Stress, and performance strategies<br>
<ul><li>Experience communicating cross-functionally and across management levels in formal and informal</li></ul>
settings<br>
<ul><li>Actively participate in SW Product and applications Risk Assessment and mitigation activities</li></ul></div><p></p><b><br>
Qualifications:</b><p><br>
Minimum Education:</p><ul><li>Bachelors degree in Engineering field (Software Engineering, Computer Science and Embedded Systems SW)</li><li>Masters Degree preferred</li></ul><p>
Minimum Work Experience (years):</p><ul><li>Minimum 10 years&rsquo; experience in Software Engineering /Test Engineering &amp; Computer Science.</li></ul><p>
Experience of driving release process for embedded and cloud solutions.</p><p>
Software tool Exp :</p><p>
knowledge of SW tools like JIRA, Confluence, Automation and GenAI.</p><p>
Key Skills and Competencies:</p><ul><li>Strong Analytical skills, problem solving skills and excellent communication skills</li><li>Android, Python, Perl, C, C++, Java preferred</li><li>Knowledge of test framework preferred.</li></ul><p></p><p><br>
Licenses/Certifications, special qualifications:</p><ul><li>ISTQB, CSQA preferred</li></ul><p></p><p><br>

Designs, implements, and maintains quality assurance protocols and methods. Designs methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of components and finished products. Demonstrates good knowledge of products/components within assigned area to anticipate and prepare for possible non-conformances.</p><b><br>
Responsibilities:</b><br>
<ul><li>
Takes initiative to gather data to investigate and analyze root cause for potential non-conformances of moderate scope</li><li>
Works with Engineers with the design of business and operational processes to support quality execution against key performance metrics</li><li>
Regularly monitors/reviews business and operational processes to evaluate for continuous improvement opportunities</li><li>
Acts as advisor to less senior technicians and/or engineers/suppliers in vetting non-conformities, cooperations with technical support and design engineering and product quality on product improvements</li><li>
Completes audit training, as required</li><li>
Establish weekly, monthly matrix and follow up actions with following effectively measurement system</li><li>
Manages customer survey responses and drives actions to increase customer's satisfaction</li><li>
Works with Service escalation team on individual projects including projects outside of repair centers</li></ul><br>

Qualifications:</b><p><br>
Minimum Requirements:</p><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Software or Electrical Engineering.</li><li>
2-5 years relevant experience</li><li>
Problem solving and analytical ability</li><li>
Knowledge of job-related policies and procedures as well as corporate policies and procedures</li><li>
Strong computer skills</li><li>
Effective communication and collaborative skills.</li></ul><p>
