About the Role
Atlas Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Floater Assistant Operator for our facility in Chicago, IL. Reporting to the Production Foreman, the Assistant Operator will safely operate machines and maintain awareness of machine safety requirements. This role involves operating individual equipment on the mill, including the coil crane, butt welder, cutoff saw, bundler, table, and/or offline, performing area housekeeping, and assisting in other production operations as needed. This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM 
Pay: $25.84 plus Production Incentive Bonus
What You&rsquo;ll Do<ul><li>
Perform duties in accordance with company safety policies and report unsafe conditions.</li><li>
Troubleshoot, solve, and communicate problems to the mill crew.</li><li>
Communicate quality requirements to the mill crew and ensure they are met.</li><li>
Maintain offline requirements to ensure quick-change operation.</li><li>
Assist maintenance in making equipment repairs.</li><li>
Calibrate micrometers at the start of each shift and during changeovers.</li><li>
Assist in changeovers and inspect tooling condition at the end of each rolling, communicating the need for reconditioning.</li><li>
Support other team positions and functions as necessary.</li><li>
Maintain housekeeping standards in all work areas.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li><li>
Participate in training and cross-training of new and current team members.</li><li>
Perform preventive maintenance (PM) activities as assigned.</li><li>
Ensure regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule.</li><li>
Lead and promote health and safety work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy.</li></ul>
Who You Are<ul><li>
Experience: 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.</li><li>
Education: Associate&rsquo;s degree, bachelor&rsquo;s degree, or trade certification preferred.</li><li>
Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills; visual acuity to read and record numerical data; previous experience with precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.) preferred.</li><li>
Soft Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.</li><li>
Additional Qualifications: Crane certification required; commitment to safe work practices and predictable attendance.</li></ul>
Physical Abilities<ul><li>
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.</li><li>
Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push, and pull; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>
Work environment includes a loud manufacturing/industrial setting.</li><li>
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles; occasional exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.</li></ul>

About the Role
As a Supply Chain Analyst at Atlas Tube Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in supporting the organization&rsquo;s Automated Inventory Management (AIM) program through data management, reporting, and process optimization. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate customer and inventory data, monitoring system performance, and identifying opportunities to improve supply chain efficiency and customer service.
You will collaborate closely with the AIM Inventory Manager, IT, Sales, Operations, and Customer Experience teams to support automated replenishment processes and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, onsite role located in Chicago, IL.
This role is ideal for a highly analytical, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving operational and process-related challenges through data-driven insights.
What You&rsquo;ll Do<ul><li>
Administer and maintain data critical to the AIM process, including setup and management of new AIM accounts.</li><li>
Identify and resolve data errors, system issues, and tolerance exceptions related to AIM processes.</li><li>
Coordinate with internal teams and subject matter experts to troubleshoot and resolve system and process issues.</li><li>
Support ongoing AIM processes by monitoring automation workflows and identifying opportunities for optimization.</li><li>
Assist the sales team with AIM reserve reviews and material repurposing requests.</li><li>
Generate and analyze data related to inventory consumption, replenishment, and overall AIM program effectiveness.</li><li>
Review inventory consumption trends and adjust supply planning recommendations to maintain proper inventory balance.</li><li>
Document business requirements and support testing for new AIM features and system enhancements.</li><li>
Monitor the Agent Replenishment process to ensure materials replenish appropriately to fulfill customer demand.</li><li>
Collaborate with IT and business teams on AIM system enhancements and process improvements.</li><li>
Participate in testing and implementation of new functionality across the AIM portfolio.</li><li>
Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance workflow efficiency and operational effectiveness.</li><li>
Lead and promote healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul>
Who You Are<ul><li>
Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Analytics, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.</li><li>
Experience in manufacturing, steel, or industrial environments preferred.</li><li>
Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li>
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across cross-functional teams.</li><li>
Experience building and maintaining strong working relationships with commercial and operational stakeholders.</li><li>
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.</li><li>
Experience with SAP (ECC/APO), EDI systems, and RPA technologies preferred.</li><li>
Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.</li><li>
Ability to analyze complex data sets and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.</li><li>
