Purpose of jobOur aim is to become a market leader in the provision of Electric Vehicle charging solutions to Local Authorities and Businesses as part of our strategy to lead the transition to zero carbon.The goal is to undertake an ambitious electric vehicle charging installation program, deploying high volume and quality EV installations across the nation. Our aim is to make the world a better place, one charge point at a time.The Electrical Supervisor (EV Projects / Installations) will work within Zest&rsquo;s Operations team to supervise the onsite construction of multiple EV projects to completion. Reporting into their line manager &amp; Operations Director, the Supervisor will be responsible for smooth delivery of the installations according to our client&rsquo;s requirements. Where applicable this role will see the supervisor undertaking CDM duties as principal contractor or supporting the appointed principal contractor with monitoring and audits throughout the construction phase and ensuring all health and safety procedures are adhered to. Our deployment program is focused on providing exceptional customer experience from day one.The role works closely with the lead supervisor &amp; technical delivery managers, as well as contractors, to make our installs happen safely and efficiently.Key AccountabilitiesThe role is responsible for the following:<ul><li>Ensure Safety is put first at on-site installations and during maintenance.</li><li>Supervise the installation of our charge points, including hardware, software and Service, Maintenance &amp; Repair requirements as per the CDM duties of principle contractor</li><li>Site inductions, setting to work, reviewing RAMs and provide toolbox talks.</li><li>Leasing with third-party contractors, to deliver quality, on time and at the agreed cost.</li><li>Development and delivery of commercially viable EV charging solutions at pace and in line with our wider goals and objectives.</li><li>Support the Operations and Technical Directors and other local/regional stakeholders to develop the deployment strategy and lead the technical implementation of sites within your region.</li><li>Reporting on the progress of sites and installations within remit.</li><li>Site surveys/capable of concept designs &amp; site selection.</li><li>Plus, any other duties as required.</li></ul>Outcome, Results and Key performance indicators:<ul><li>Achievement of safety and installation targets</li><li>Achievement of downtime targets</li></ul>Key Relationships:<ul><li>Internal &ndash; Operations teams,</li><li>External &ndash; 3rd party contractors, suppliers, service providers</li></ul>Knowledge and Skills:<ul><li>Experience of Site supervision</li><li>BS7671 18th edition wiring regulations and EVCP installation code of practice</li><li>EV equipment knowledge</li><li>Civil and street works experience</li><li>Knowledge / awareness of the building and CDM regulations</li><li>H&amp;S experience</li><li>IT skills and excel knowledge</li><li>General commercial awareness</li><li>A good level of numeracy and attention to detail</li></ul>Behaviours:<ul><li>Tenacious and resourceful</li><li>Practical problem solver</li><li>Excellent communicator</li><li>Ability to influence and engage others</li><li>Collaborative worker</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Qualified Electrician</li><li>SSSTS or SMSTS</li><li>ECS/CSCS</li></ul>Zest is an equal opportunity employer, committed to the values and ultimately societal benefits of diversity, equity, and inclusionJob Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:<ul><li>Company car</li><li>Company events</li><li>Cycle to work scheme</li><li>Health &amp; wellbeing programme</li><li>Referral programme</li><li>Sick pay</li></ul>Application question(s):<ul><li>Are you a qualified electrician?</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Charging infrastructure: 1 year (preferred)</li></ul>Licence/Certification:<ul><li>CSCS/ECS Card or equivalent (required)</li></ul>Work authorisation:<ul><li>United Kingdom (required)</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in London RM9 5RX
