<div>Zingerman's Miss Kim Front of House Staff 
Miss Kim Korean Restaurant, a part of Zingerman's Community of Businesses, is looking for front of house service staff!
We are looking for high energy individuals who are passionate about giving great service, learning about great food and engaging in their work! We offer flexible schedules, though weekend availability is a must, and the opportunity to work for a fun and exciting Zingerman's business. Taking part in building the systems that run our day-to-day is expected from each member of our small team at Zingerman's Miss Kim Korean Restaurant.
Previous serving experience is preferred, but not required - experience as a salesperson, a barista, a bar-back or a background in theatre are encouraged to apply! We ask that all applicants, regardless of experience, be ready to hit the ground running, be adaptable to a changing work environment and are encouraged to share your ideas with the team.<ul><li>
Full-Time positions available, with availability for 4-5 shifts per week, including at least two dinner shifts Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.</li><li>
Availability on Fridays and Saturdays is highly preferred.</li><li>
Shifts are usually 10:30am-4pm, or 4pm-10pm.</li><li>
We are looking for someone who would have the ability to work at least 28 hours a week, and possibly as many as 35-40 hours a week.</li></ul>
Compensation:<ul><li>
$22.50-$24.50/hour (when tips are included)</li><li>
There is a $0.50/hr raise once finishing orientation.</li><li>
Also quarterly bonus is possible if we exceed the sales plan, and you have finished basic orientation.</li></ul>

Engages enthusiastically with guests by making eye contact and following the 10-4 rule</li><li>
Delivers the Zingerman&rsquo;s experience to all guests, including following the 3 Steps to Giving Great Service and the 5 Steps to Handling a Guest Complaint</li><li>
Prioritizes the guest experience by anticipating needs, responding promptly to questions and concerns, and ensuring a welcoming, high-quality environment</li><li>
Consultants with the Front of House Shift Lead regarding service decisions, guest concerns and operational questions to ensure consistent and efficient shift execution.</li><li>
Carries the guests order to the table, double checking for accuracy</li><li>
Can explain all ingredients in our dishes and knows the stories behind our food and beverages</li><li>
Actively engages in learning about Korean food and culture</li><li>
Uses Toast, third party apps, and touch-screen POS System</li><li>
Uses Mac computer to update restaurant and menu information, daily</li><li>
Replenishes products and supplies on the floor</li><li>
Keeps dining areas and workspaces neat and clean, according to the documented CDC guidelines</li><li>
Maintains safety protocols as outlined by CDC, Zingerman&rsquo;s Community of Business and Miss Kim.</li><li>
Uses various equipment like electric tea pots, dishwashers, knives, and any others as training progresses</li><li>
Positively responds to direction and does not shy away from requesting assistance from co-workers, supervisors, managers and guests</li><li>
Treats guests and co-workers with courtesy and respect</li><li>
Utilizes time well by keeping busy and staying productive with restaurant sidework</li><li>
Actively engages in documenting and updating standard operating procedures</li><li>
Documents customer compliments, complaints and suggestions using ZXi and code reds/code greens system</li><li>
Attends huddles and training classes as scheduled and required</li></ul>

Guest Service Specialist
Be a part of the Zingerman&rsquo;s Deli Team! If you are interested in a fast paced, fun and friendly environment and would like to be one of our Guest Service Specialists &ndash;we&rsquo;d love to have you on our team!
This position has full-time potential and pays $17-$20/hour after tips. We also pay you to learn (no prior food knowledge necessary, just a passion for learning) AND you&rsquo;ll also get a free meal on each shift, a paid break, a staff discount at all Zingerman&rsquo;s businesses, access to health insurance, a super discounted bus pass, and lots of other staff benefits.<ul><li>
Full-time or part time, hourly positions available (full time is 30-40 hours per week, part time would be 12 or more hours per week)</li><li>
We are looking for candidates who want to grow with us for at least a year, including UM football season, our busy holiday times, next Summer and into the Fall.</li><li>
We offer flexible schedules, including weekends, as well as a structured training program and the opportunity to be part of a team that values your contributions.</li><li>
Most shifts are between 10:30am-7:30pm</li><li>

Performance Expectations- Essential Functions:<ul><li>
Shares the Zingerman's experience with our guests, guiding them through their visit to find what they want, going the extra mile, and making sure they can't wait to come back.</li><li>
Spends lots of time with guests daily - on the phone and face to face - talking about the menu, accurately taking orders, enthusiastically serving sandwich and grocery orders, working a cash register, helping answer guest questions, and making everyone feel welcome.</li><li>
Anticipates guest needs in all areas of the Deli, and goes the extra mile to make sure they have a great experience</li><li>
Keeps the Deli clean and stocked. This includes sweeping, wiping and sanitizing floors, counters, tables, equipment, and restrooms, taking out trash, as well as moving product stock and dishes throughout three floors of storage, dining and shopping areas.</li><li>
Positively responds to direction and requests for assistance from co-workers, supervisors, managers and guests</li><li>
Learns and follows all service recipes, operating procedures and attendance policies</li><li>
Engages in department operations by attending weekly open-book meetings</li><li>
Continues learning about and promoting all of the great foods we sell</li></ul>
