We are looking for professionals who take pride in their work, value consistency, and understand the responsibility of caring for both pets and clients&rsquo; homes.Position OverviewAs an In-Home Animal Care Professional, you will provide personalized care for pets in their home environment. This includes attending to physical, emotional, and medical needs while maintaining high standards of safety, communication, and professionalism.This is not strictly a &ldquo;drop-in only&rdquo; role&mdash;overnight capability is part of being a full-service professional with Zippy Pets.This is a part-time, contract position with opportunities to grow into a larger role based on performance and client demand.Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Provide high-quality, in-home care for pets including feeding, walking, enrichment, and medication administration</li><li>Safely and confidently handle animals of varying sizes, breeds, and temperaments</li><li>Monitor and report on pet health, behavior, and any changes or concerns</li><li>Administer medications as directed by clients (oral, topical, and other methods as applicable)</li><li>Perform structured dog walks and/or hikes in a variety of environments and conditions</li><li>Maintain clean and sanitary pet areas (food bowls, litter boxes, waste disposal, etc.)</li><li>Complete light household tasks related to pet care (mail retrieval, trash, plant watering, package handling)</li><li>Ensure homes are properly secured after each visit</li><li>Provide detailed visit updates with notes and photos via the Time To Pet app</li><li>Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and team members via Telegram</li><li>Attend client meet-and-greets and represent Zippy Pets with professionalism and care</li><li>Follow all company procedures, client instructions, and safety protocols precisely</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Prior experience in animal care in a professional or structured setting (e.g., veterinary clinic, vet tech/assistant, kennel, shelter, or established pet care business)</li><li>Strong animal handling skills and comfort working with a wide range of temperaments and breeds</li><li>Experience administering or assisting with medications is highly preferred</li><li>Ability to observe and recognize changes in animal behavior or health</li><li>Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and client-facing professionalism</li><li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time independently across multiple clients</li><li>Comfortable working independently while maintaining accountability to a team</li><li>Willingness to use technology platforms (Time To Pet, Telegram) for scheduling and communication</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and reliable transportation</li><li>Ability to pass a background check</li><li>Physically able to walk dogs in varied terrain and lift up to 50 lbs when needed</li></ul>Schedule Expectations<ul><li>Part-time to start, with opportunities for growth</li><li>Availability for some weekends and holidays required</li><li>Overnight availability is preferred and may be required on a case-by-case basis depending on client needs</li><li>Candidates comfortable with occasional overnight stays will have additional earning opportunities</li><li>Preference for candidates seeking a long-term professional role rather than seasonal or short-term work</li></ul>Pay &amp; Benefits<ul><li>Paid per visit: average $15&ndash;25+ per visit plus tips and additional pet pay</li><li>Overnight stays: $60&ndash;95+ per night plus tips and additional pet pay</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Performance-based earning potential (the more clients you serve, the more you earn)</li><li>Bonuses and incentives for referrals and business development efforts</li><li>Team culture activities (breakfasts, hikes, etc.)</li><li>Discounted pet care services</li><li>Opportunity to grow with a local, purpose-driven company</li></ul>Who This Role Is Best ForThis position is ideal for experienced animal care professionals who are:<ul><li>Confident working independently in client homes</li><li>Comfortable handling responsibility and making sound decisions in real time</li><li>Detail-oriented, observant, and highly reliable</li><li>Interested in being part of a professional, growth-oriented team</li><li>Looking for meaningful, hands-on work in animal care with long-term potential</li></ul>If you are a professional with a strong animal care background who values accountability, communication, and continuous improvement, we&rsquo;d love to hear from you.Apply today to join the Zippy Pets team.Pay: $25.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Employee discount</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Referral program</li></ul>Work Location: On the road
