Day shift is 5:45 AM to 6:00 PM. The work week is an alternating 36 or 48 hours (12 hour shifts rotating on a 2 weeks cycle: 2 on, 2 off, 3 on, 2 off, 2 on, 3 off) resulting in a 3 day weekend every other week and some built in overtime.</li><li>Benefits: Warehouse Associates are eligible for benefits which include PTO and Sick Time, medical, dental, vision, 401K, life insurance, fitness gym discounts, Safety Shoes Discounts, Prescription Safety Glasses Discount, and life assistance programs.</li></ul>Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate will be verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment by performing the following duties.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.</li><li>Determines method of shipment, when necessary.</li><li>Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information cartons.</li><li>Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.</li><li>Inserts items into containers.</li><li>Screw covers on wooden crates and/or binds containers with strapping.</li><li>Attaches identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.</li><li>Posts weights, shipping charges, and affixes postage.</li><li>Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.</li><li>Routes items to departments.</li><li>Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.</li><li>Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.</li><li>Operates forklift to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage to work area.</li><li>Operates an overhead crane to move product.</li><li>Operates binding equipment.</li><li>Operates Miter/Chop Saw.</li><li>Use basic hand tools.</li><li>Keep records of materials sent.</li><li>Reads shipping orders to determine quantity and type of transportation needed.</li><li>Contacts carrier representative to make arrangements, when necessary, and to issue instructions for loading products.</li><li>Stay current on all ZPG Procedures for packaging.</li><li>Other duties may be assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience of one year or more in a warehouse/material handling environment is preferred.</li><li>Forklift experience preferred.</li><li>Graduation from high school or a GED is preferred.</li><li>Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, read and interpret documents, follow procedures, maintain a safe and ethical work environment, and willingness to work as a team member are also needed.</li><li>Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.</li></ul>Work Environment:The work environments characteristics described below are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Zoltek produces essential products based on the definition designated by the CISA (Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, a division of the US Department of Homeland Security). Our St. Peters facility supplies global products to wind turbine generators for renewable energy. Zoltek&rsquo;s manufacturing of pultrusion materials is a key component of the wind turbine blades, which is a critical component to support the US energy infrastructure.
