CDL B Roll-Off Driver &ndash; Home Daily &ndash; $23&ndash;$28/hr &ndash; Glendale, AZBasic DescriptionRoll-Off Drivers are responsible for preparing, securing and transport of open top and compactor containers to various disposal sites which include landfills, transfer facilities and the various customer jobsite locations. Roll-Off Drivers will need to navigate driveways, alleyways, job sites and traffic filled roadways. This may also entail operating in tight environments, backing up long distances such as private driveways as well as heavy industrial and crowded city environments.Overall Responsibility<ul><li>Operate vehicle in accordance with Zona Dumpster Rentals Safety Rules, OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act), DOT (Department of Transportation) as well as all local, municipal, state, and federal laws</li><li>Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned equipment</li><li>Report any unsafe situations or service-related issues to dispatch</li><li>Report any incidents, accidents, injures, or property damage to dispatch</li><li>Report service problems, blocked containers, or any potential safety hazards</li><li>Report all containers damaged and in need of repair</li><li>Must attend and participate in all training and safety programs, including all safety meetings.</li><li>Communicate with dispatch to improve route production and communicate the best way to perform your duties</li><li>Communicate any customer requests with dispatch</li><li>Complete and submit work orders and driver logs as required</li><li>Expected to deliver and return containers to a customer&rsquo;s property in a position that ensures the safe and proper operation of the container. Ensure driveway entrances, mailboxes or other traffic thruways are not blocked</li><li>Must follow the route as assigned by dispatch and understand the customer&rsquo;s needs</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Experience: 2 year(s) of previous experience operating a CDL vehicle requiring a CDL or equivalent military driving within the last 7 years</li><li>The applicant must be 21 years of age</li><li>Hold a current Class A or B Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License with an air brake endorsement.</li><li>Acceptable driving record required.</li><li>Successfully complete a pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history, and motor vehicle record review</li></ul>Skills and Attributes<ul><li>Motivated and a self-starter yet able to work within a team to accomplish large jobs efficiently</li><li>Enjoy dealing with people</li><li>Comfortable reading a map and navigating</li><li>Takes pride in a job well done and is good with taking direction</li><li>Enjoys working outside in all weather extremes</li><li>Prepared to work long hours and weekends in some capacity</li></ul>Job Type<ul><li>Part time with potential for full time</li><li>Monday-Friday</li><li>Possibly weekends</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>$23.00-$28.00 per hour DOE</li><li>Paid Training</li><li>Safety equipment provided</li><li>Bi weekly pay</li></ul>Company DescriptionZona Dumpster Rentals is a family owned waste management company committed to providing efficient and eco-friendly solutions for commercial and industrial waste disposal needs.
