 Job Purpose: The Assistant Manager Information Security (NOMC) is responsible for executing and overseeing information security governance within the Network Operations &amp; Maintenance Center (NOMC). The role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and regulatory compliance of telecom core infrastructure by governing information security assets, risks, vulnerabilities, privileged access, and incident coordination, while acting as the primary point of contact with the Information Security department. Job Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 Information Security Asset Management
 
 
 
 Govern identification, classification, ownership, and lifecycle management of NOMC information security assets in alignment with enterprise policies.
 
 
 
 Governance, Risk &amp; Compliance
 
 
 
 Support information security risk assessments for telecom infrastructure, network changes, and vendor engagements, including risk treatment and acceptance processes.
 
 
 Ensure departmental compliance with information security policies, standards, and telecom regulatory requirements (e.g., PTA CTDISR).
 
 
 Act as the focal point for internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections, and drive timely closure of audit observations.
 
 
 
 Vulnerability &amp; Access Governance
 
 
 
 Govern Vulnerability Assessment activities and ensure risk-based remediation in line with defined SLAs.
 
 
 Oversee Privileged Access Management (PAM) onboarding, access reviews, and periodic audits for NOMC systems.
 
 
 
 Security Monitoring &amp; Incident Coordination
 
 
 
 Coordinate security monitoring and SIEM onboarding for NOMC assets with SOC Team.
 
 
 Act as the NOMC coordination point during information security incidents, investigations, and post-incident corrective actions.
 
 
 
 Cross-Functional &amp; Enterprise Coordination
 
 
 
 Coordinate NOMC information security activities with the Information Security department initiatives, awareness programs, and control improvement plans.
 
 
 
 Reporting
 
 
 
 Reporting of Information Security KPI&rsquo;s to Management and relevant Stakeholders
 
 
 Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills): Education:
 
 
 Bachelor&rsquo;s or Master&rsquo;s degree in Cyber Security, Information Security, Computer/Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. CISM certification (mandatory).
 
 
 Additional certifications (CISSP, ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27005) are an added advantage.
 
 
 
 Work Experience
 
 
 
 5&ndash;8 years of relevant Information Security experience within telecom or critical infrastructure environments.
 
 
 Proven experience in IS governance, asset management, vulnerability management, PAM, and audit coordination.
 
 
 
 Skills - Generic
 
 
 
 Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills.
 
 
 Analytical, risk-focused mindset suited to mission-critical environments.
 
 
 
 Skills - Job Specific
 
 
 
 Understanding of telecom core and network environments (CS Core, PS Core, IP Core, VAS, Cloud System, etc).
 
 
 Practical knowledge of information security asset management, vulnerability management, and PAM governance.
 
 
 Understanding of security monitoring, log onboarding, and incident handling.
 
 
 Familiarity with ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27005, NIST CSF, or equivalent frameworks.
