Accounting &amp; Office ManagerMazra Restaurant Group Redwood City / San Bruno, CA (Office COLMA, CA) Full-Time (initial flexibility possible)About MazraMazra is a fast-growing restaurant group, with expansion underway and a centralized commissary kitchen in development.We are building a modern, systems-driven company and are bringing our finance and administrative operations fully in-house.This is a high-impact role with growth into a Controller-level position.Position OverviewWe are seeking an Accounting &amp; Office Manager to oversee day to day financial operations across:<ul><li>Two restaurant locations</li><li>One commissary kitchen</li></ul>This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing bookkeeping processes, and supporting office operations as the company scales.We are specifically looking for someone who leverages AI and automation tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reporting.ResponsibilitiesAccounting &amp; Bookkeeping<ul><li>Manage daily bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online and Restaurant365 (R365)</li><li>Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations</li><li>Maintain accurate general ledger in accordance with GAAP</li><li>Process accounts payable and receivable:</li><li>Invoice entry</li><li>Vendor payments</li><li>Vendor communication</li><li>Prepare journal entries, account analyses, and monthly close</li><li>Assist with month-end and year-end close processes</li></ul>Payroll &amp; Compliance<ul><li>Process payroll for approximately 120 employees (Toast Payroll)</li><li>Ensure compliance with tax filings, labor laws, and reporting requirements</li></ul>Financial Reporting &amp; Analysis<ul><li>Track expenses and assist with budgeting and financial reporting</li><li>Generate reports and insights on restaurant performance</li><li>Utilize AI tools to improve reporting speed, accuracy, and workflow efficiency</li></ul>Office &amp; Administrative Management<ul><li>Organize and maintain financial records and documentation</li><li>Manage correspondence and internal communication</li><li>Support scheduling and general office operations</li><li>Help build structured, scalable administrative systems</li></ul>QualificationsRequired<ul><li>Experience with QuickBooks Online</li><li>Strong understanding of:</li><li>GAAP</li><li>Double-entry accounting</li><li>Bank and account reconciliations</li><li>Experience with accounts payable/receivable and payroll processing</li><li>High attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Strong organizational and communication skills</li><li>Ability to manage multiple entities</li></ul>Preferred (Not Required)<ul><li>Experience with Restaurant365 (R365)</li><li>Experience in restaurant or hospitality accounting</li><li>Experience building processes or improving workflows</li></ul>AI &amp; Systems Requirement (Important)We are looking for candidates who actively use AI tools (such as Claude, ChatGPT or automation tools) in their work.Candidates should be able to:<ul><li>Explain how they have used AI to improve workflows or efficiency</li><li>Demonstrate a systems-oriented mindset</li></ul>Compensation<ul><li>Competitive salary (based on experience)</li><li>Growth opportunity within a fast-scaling company</li><li>Path to Controller / Finance Lead role</li></ul>Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Work Location: In person
