We’re seeking an experienced Hospital Pharmacist for a flexible, variable-shift opportunity in San Luis Obispo, California . This role is ideal for a clinically strong pharmacist with inpatient experience and Cerner proficiency.

Schedule

• 10-hour shifts:
• 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM
• 4 shifts per week
• Scheduled 2–3 weekends per month
• Schedule is as needed
  

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy – Required
• Pharmacist license (California) – Required
• 2–3 years hospital experience – Required
• Cerner experience – Required
• IV Certification (such as CriticalPoint) – Preferred
• PharmD – Preferred
• Inpatient clinical pharmacy experience – Preferred
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Process, verify, and distribute medication orders in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Ensure medication therapy is safe, effective, and cost-efficient
• Review prescribing for indication, dose, route, frequency, allergies, and drug interactions
• Manage daily medication utilization reports and identify improvement opportunities
• Perform quality assurance procedures
• Participate in clinical rounds, unit-based medication management, and remote order verification
• Support all pharmacy-related programs and initiatives as directed
