Aspiranet, a leading California-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families, is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Father Child Engagement Specialist (FCES) to join our Fatherhood Program in Antioch. In this role, you will conduct outreach, engagement, and enrollment activities with African American/Black fathers who have a pregnant partner, infant, or toddler under the age of one. Youβll facilitate evidence-based parenting classes, host fatherβchild events, and provide case management services designed to strengthen family bonds and create lasting positive impact.

π Position Summary
As an Early Child Educator/Teacher at our First 5 Centers in the Family and Community Services program, you will utilize your experience and skills to deliver parent-child curriculum via classroom instruction, workshops, events, and activities for new parents to learn about parenting their young children. You will also help build their social supports while empowering them to become part of a strong parent community!
π Key Responsibilities

Develop family literacy, early learning, and parental education class curriculum and content.

Prepare for and provide curriculum and activities that are developmentally appropriate for the parent and child.

Conduct child development screenings.

Develop and provide infant, pre-k transition programming, including parent-child interactive classes that simulate preschool experiences.

Teach and deliver parent-child classes.

Coordinate and facilitate events and workshops.

Develop event agendas and assist with center calendar development.

Monitor participant attendance, participate in the evaluation of services, and support center registration.

Serve as a member of an integrated team of teachers, outreach and engagement workers, and case managers.

Supports projects, initiatives, and/or specific program functions.

Complete a monthly report on classes delivered.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education/Experience

Qualifications

A minimum of 12 Early Childhood Education units completed. (Please indicate on your resume if you completed a minimum of 12 ECE units)

Two (2) years of experience in family support, in-home, or center based services.

Meets all state required conditions of employment as set forth by Community Care Licensing for a Licensed Community Care facility; i.e. Fingerprint and Child Abuse Index clearance, TB/Health Physical, valid CDL, and clean driving record.
