1 ST Shift Certified Diesel Mechanic and/or Reefer Mechanic

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, heavy equipment, semi trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of diesel mechanics and be able to diagnose and fix complex problems. The position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to lift heavy objects. Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, heavy equipment, semi trucks and trailers.
- Diagnose and fix complex problems with diesel engines, transmissions, and brakes.
- Use schematics to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- Lift heavy objects and move equipment as needed.
- Work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to complete projects.
- Keep detailed records of all work performed.

Requirements:
- Experience as a diesel mechanic (at least 2 years)
- Knowledge of diesel engines.
- Experience with brake repair and suspension systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and ability to read schematics.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

-Reefer repair experience is a bonus.

- Drivers license required, class A CDL would be great but is not a must.

- State or ASE certifications are needed.

- Technician required to have own tools.
