1031 Exchange Consultant

Atlanta Deferred Exchange is a national qualified intermediary specializing in Section 1031 tax-deferred exchanges. We help real estate investors defer capital gains taxes through smooth, compliant exchange transactions, working closely with attorneys, title companies, and real estate professionals across the country.

We’re looking for an Exchange Consultant who is personable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, communicating with clients all day, and managing multiple moving pieces at once.

What You’ll Do

Guide clients through the 1031 exchange process from start to finish

Build relationships with clients, attorneys, title companies, and real estate professionals

Coordinate exchange timelines, documents, and closing requirements

Review settlement statements and transaction documents for accuracy

Manage multiple time-sensitive files simultaneously

Communicate clearly and confidently by phone and email

Work closely with teammates to deliver exceptional client service

What We’re Looking For

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and fast-moving transactions simultaneously

Strong numerical reasoning and confidence working with financial figures and closing statements

Ability to quickly learn new software and systems

Positive, proactive, team-first attitude

Preferred Backgrounds

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

Real estate transactions or closings

Title, escrow, or mortgage operations

Real estate paralegal work

Accounting or finance

Prior 1031 exchange experience is a plus but not required! We’re happy to train the right person.

Education

Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred, but not required. We value demonstrated experience and ability over formal credentials.

Additional Information

Remote position (US based) - preference for candidates based on the East Coast.

Candidates must reside in and be authorized to work in the US

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
