1:1 Attendant $18 per hour

Hands-on Care Attendant needed for woman with cerebral palsy.

This client has cerebral palsy and she lives alone. She relies on attendants to help her get up in the morning and also to prepare for bed. She uses a Hoyer lift and a power wheelchair. Attendant duties include:

• Meal preparation, grocery shopping
• Light housekeeping
• Escorting to medical appointments and other outings in the community
• Full assistance with personal hygiene, toileting, showering
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Current available shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 9am-11pm.

All shifts include transferring client in and out of bed, shower, and power chair using the hoyer lift, meal preparation, dressing/undressing, changing adult brief, re-positioning in bed, light house cleaning and grocery shopping.

We are looking for a person who is laid back and who has experience in working with people who have cerebral palsy or mobility disabilities. This position is very hands on and someone who has experience with a hoyer lift is a plus!! We need a reliable person since she can not get up or go back to bed without your support. This client is verbal and intelligent and great to be around!
