Job Summary
I am seeking a dedicated and energetic 1:1 aide to support 7 year old male during summer camp activities at a designated location. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with children, fostering a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment. The 1:1 aide will provide personalized assistance to the child with diverse needs, ensuring they participate fully in camp programs while promoting their social, emotional, and developmental growth. Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to students with special needs or individualized education plans (IEPs) during camp activities.
• Assist students with daily routines, including transitions, meal times, and restroom breaks, ensuring safety and comfort at all times.
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and social interactions among campers.
• Support classroom management by organizing activities, maintaining order, and encouraging participation in group tasks.
• Collaborate with camp staff, teachers, and parents to monitor student progress and address any concerns promptly.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed diligently; administer basic first aid when necessary and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Foster an inclusive environment that respects each child's unique abilities and promotes their emotional well-being.

Skills

• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a structured and positive environment.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childhood development best practices.
• Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, summer camps, tutoring, or childcare roles.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and special education strategies.
• Ability to provide first aid and respond calmly in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members, children, and parents.

Pay: $23.59 - $28.41 per hour
